Humble Servant of All
I am writing to express my deep concern regarding the current leadership and immigration policies in Singapore, which are exacerbating the hardships faced by citizens. There is a growing sentiment among Singaporeans that our skills and contributions are being overlooked in favor of foreign labor, particularly in contract or platform employment. Initiatives like SkillsFuture appear to address only the surface of these issues, leaving many Singaporeans unemployed after six months or more, with little hope of finding stable, meaningful work. This favoritism towards foreigners in employment has not only led to the exploitation of our skills for commercial gain without proper hiring practices but has also diminished the quality of service and products in our economy. Many customers are now avoiding Singapore due to perceived inferior services and products offered by foreign workers who may struggle with English and local customs. This has significant implications for our tourism industry, which relies on delivering high-quality experiences. Furthermore, I am increasingly concerned about the deteriorating living standards for Singaporeans. It is disheartening to witness elderly citizens begging or working low-paying jobs, struggling to make ends meet in a city that should support them. Our infrastructure, such as MRT services, frequently experiences breakdowns, while the cost of living continues to rise, making it increasingly difficult for Singaporeans to sustain a decent quality of life. While initiatives like CDC vouchers offer temporary relief, they do not provide a long-term solution to the systemic issues we face. Policies crafted by companies and the Ministry of Manpower that favor foreigners not only neglect the needs of Singaporeans but also contribute to a declining population, as many citizens resort to abortion rather than raise families in an increasingly unaffordable environment. This does not address the underlying problems but instead leads to unsustainable growth in the foreign population, leaving Singaporeans increasingly marginalized. It is critical that we re-evaluate these policies to ensure they prioritize the well-being of Singaporeans and foster a fair employment landscape. We need to cultivate an environment where locals can thrive, businesses can prosper, and our nationβs identity and integrity can be preserved. I urge you to consider these concerns seriously and take immediate action to rectify the current trajectory. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Yours Sincerely,
