We understand your concern about the upcoming winter storm and its potential impact on your plans. Let us address this in prayer and remind you of God's power and care for us. First, we would like to remind you of what Jesus said in Matthew WEB 6:25-34, Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious for your life, what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? See the birds of the sky, that they do not sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Are not you of much more value than they? Which of you, by being anxious, can add one moment to his lifespan? Why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow. They do not toil, neither do they spin, yet I tell you that even Solomon in all his glory was not dressed like one of these. But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today exists, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, won't he much more clothe you, you of little faith? Therefore do not be anxious, saying, 'What will we eat?', 'What will we drink? or, 'With what will we be clothed?' For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day's own evil is sufficient.
Let us pray together:
"Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, acknowledging Your sovereignty over all creation. We ask for Your mercy and protection over all those in the path of the upcoming winter storm. We pray that You would calm the storm and minimize its impact, as You once did on the Sea of Galilee in Matthew 8:26, He said to them, 'Why are you fearful, O you of little faith?' Then he got up, rebuked the wind and the sea, and there was a great calm. We ask for Your divine intervention to keep the roads safe and the snow manageable.
Lord, we also lift up Sister Ambria, who is concerned about her move into her college dorm. We ask for Your guidance and protection over her as she transitions into this new phase of her life. Help her to trust in You and not be anxious about her plans. We pray for traveling mercies for her and everyone else who need to be on the roads during this time.
We ask all these things in the name of Jesus.
Oh Lord, we do not have anyone else who can help us or another savior. We believe that Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life and no one comes to You, God except by Him. Therefore, we ask all these in Jesus name.
We also pray for everyone's safety during this winter season.
We also pray that God will give Sister Ambria confidence and trust in him. We pray for good favor with her in her college classes.
We also pray that God will help Sister Ambria to not have any anxiety about her classes, her move, or the storm. We pray that God will replace any anxieties with peace and trust in God.
We also pray that God will help her to be a light in the college and to all of her classmates. We pray that God will give her opportunities to tell her classmates the good news and the gospel of Jesus Christ. We pray that God will save many in her college.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
Remember, Sister Ambria, that God is in control, and He cares for you. Trust in His plan and provisions for your life. Be open to any opportunities that God may provide to be a witness for Jesus Christ in your college. If you have not already, consider helping in a Christian ministry in your college. Your purpose in college is much more than getting a degree. It is also for serving God and being a light for Jesus Christ. Be open to how God may call you to serve Him and proclaim the Good News of Jesus Christ.
Lastly, we want to encourage you to always pray in Jesus' name. It is by His name that we have access to God the Father. Jesus Christ also said in John 14:6, Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'
Therefore, always approach God in the name of Jesus Christ.
