Prayer for the Unexpected Visitor

Dear Lord Jesus,

I would like to request prayers for an unexpected incident that took place yesterday while I was working on a Bible study based on James 5:1-6. There was a car show happening in the small country town where I live, and as the weather was very hot, I was outside with my dog for a short while. A man drove by, and I didn't think he had noticed me. Later in the day, there was a knock on my door. Although my dog started barking, I didn't immediately answer the door as I live alone and wanted to be cautious. When I was ready to answer, the person had already left.

This morning, when I went to take my dog for a walk at around 7 am, I found a shiny silver and gold bracelet with hearts on the hood of my car. Nothing like this has happened to me in many years, as I don't have an online dating profile and haven't been pursuing any kind of relationship. I kindly request my brothers and sisters in Christ to pray for me and provide guidance.

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our sister Melissa who has experienced an unexpected event. Lord, we thank You for Your constant protection and presence in Melissa's life. Your Word tells us in Isaiah 41:10, "Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand." We pray that Melissa feels Your comforting presence and strength during this time.

Father, we ask for Your wisdom and discernment for Melissa as she navigates this situation. James 1:5 reminds us, "If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him." We trust that You will provide Melissa with the clarity and understanding she needs.

Lord, we pray for peace to fill Melissa's heart and home. Philippians 4:6-7 encourages us, "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." May Your peace, which transcends all understanding, guard Melissa's heart and mind.

We also ask for Your protection over Melissa and her household. Psalm 121:7-8 assures us, "The Lord will keep you from all evil; He will keep your life. The Lord will keep your going out and your coming in from this time forth and forevermore." Lord, keep Melissa safe and secure under Your watchful eye.

Lastly, we pray for the individual who left the bracelet. Lord, You know their heart and intentions. We ask that You work in their life according to Your will. May Your Holy Spirit guide them and bring them closer to You.

We thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayers and for the assurance that You are always with us. We place our trust in You and Your perfect plan.

This is Melissa writing to give you an update. I spoke with the police to see if they knew him. They also inspected the bracelet. I looked online to confirm that the bracelet was not stolen, and then I left the bracelet in a community box.
