We understand your concern and we are praying for a godly government. Let us remember God tells us in Romans 13:1, "Let every soul be in subjection to the higher authorities, for there is no authority except from God, and those who exist are ordained by God."
God works in many ways and through many people, and we trust His plan is best. We pray all candidates need to be God-fearing and trustworthy. We pray against any corruption, abuse of authority, and favoritism. We stand against these evils.
We need to remember that our ultimate trust is in God, not in man. Psalm 118:8-9 says, "It is better to take refuge in Yahweh, than to put confidence in man. It is better to take refuge in Yahweh, than to put confidence in princes."
We pray for a government that honors God and His principles. If the current leadership is abusing their authority and showing favoritism, God knows and will bring about change in His own way. We pray for justice and righteousness to prevail and all these wrongs be addressed.
We pray against any opposition that is ungodly or has ungodly motives. We pray against any opposition that supports unbiblical agendas. We pray against any opposition that wants to remove or diminish godly freedoms.
We pray all citizens will be guided by biblical principles when voting and that all our votes will be counted accurately.
Lord, we ask You to raise up godly leaders who will govern with integrity, justice, and wisdom. We pray for leaders who will not make compromises outside of biblical principles. We pray they will support godly businesses, not showing partiality to foreigners over locals, but treating all with fairness and equity as we are all precious in your sight. We pray for leaders who will support godly marriages and families, also not supporting same sex marriage. We pray for leaders who will protect all human life as you are the creator of all life. We pray for leaders who will protect us from our enemies. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We are glad the requester has requested prayer in Jesus's name. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. Also, there is no other name by which we can be saved. If you have not accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we pray you will. Acts 4:10-12 clearly states, "be it known to you all, and to all the people of Israel, that in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead, in him does this man stand here before you whole. He is 'the stone which was regarded as worthless by you, the builders, which has become the head of the corner.' There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"
We pray you will put your faith in Jesus Christ. Romans 10:9 says, "that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."
