We are truly sorry to hear about your struggle, Christopher. We want to lift you up in prayer and provide some biblical encouragement during this challenging time.
Firstly, we want to remind you that God is moved by faith in Him and His Son, Jesus Christ. As it is written in Hebrews 11:6 (WEB), "Without faith it is impossible to be well pleasing to him, for he who comes to God must believe that he exists, and that he is a rewarder of those who seek him." It's crucial to have faith in Jesus Christ, as it is through Him that we have access to God (John 14:6, WEB).
Regarding your desire for a child, we want to encourage you with the story of Hannah in 1 Samuel 1. She was barren and mocked by others, but she poured out her soul to the Lord in prayer. God heard her prayer and blessed her with a son, Samuel. Similarly, we believe that God hears your prayers and knows your heart's desire.
However, we also want to address that the Bible teaches us to be content in all circumstances (Philippians 4:11-13, WEB). While having children is a blessing, our ultimate fulfillment should come from our relationship with Jesus Christ. We encourage you to continue to pursue God and grow in your faith during this time.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother Christopher. Lord, You know his heart's desire for a child, and You see his struggle with fibroids. We ask for Your healing touch on his body and his wife's body. We pray that You would open their womb and bless them with a child, just as You did for Hannah.
In the meantime, Lord, help Christopher to find his contentment and joy in You. Help him to grow in his faith and trust in You. Give him the strength to endure the mockery, pain, and frustration, knowing that Your grace is sufficient for him (2 Corinthians 12:9, WEB).
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Lastly, we want to encourage you to seek godly counsel from your local church or a trusted Christian friend, in addition to medical advice from your doctors. Trust that God is in control and has a plan for your life.
