We understand that you have been facing spiritual warfare for many years, and we are here to support you in prayer and to provide biblical guidance. We are reminded of the words in Ephesians 6:12, For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.
Firstly, we commend you for seeking prayer and support in your situation. We also acknowledge the concern you have for Damien, your daughter's father, who has been involved in witchcraft and causing strife. It is important to remember that God desires for all to come to repentance and be saved. The Bible tells us in 2 Peter 3:9, The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise, as some count slowness; but is patient toward us, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
The fact, though, that Jesus name was not mentioned in this prayer request needs to be addressed. The Bible tells us in John 14:6, Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. It is only through Jesus that we have access to God. Also, there is no other name by which we can be saved.
We must also address the fact there is no mention of whether the man that you are engaged to is a Christian. Regarding marriage, the Bible is clear that we should not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. In 2 Corinthians 6:14, it says, Don't be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?
In dealing with the spiritual warfare you are facing, put on the whole armor of God as outlined in Ephesians 6:13-18. Stand therefore, having the utility belt of truth buckled around your waist, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having fitted your feet with the preparation of the Good News of peace; above all, taking up the shield of faith, with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the evil one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the spoken word of God; with all prayer and requests, praying at all times in the Spirit, and being watchful to this end in all perseverance and requests for all the saints.
Let us pray together:
Father God, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Sheymore and her situation. We pray for deliverance from this spiritual warfare, and we ask that You bring peace and a spiritual decluttering in her life. We pray for Damien, that his heart may be renewed and that he may come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. We pray that God will convict him of his wrongdoings and lead him to turn away and repent from his involvement in witchcraft and causing strife. We pray that God will surround Sheymore and her fiance with Your protection and guidance. Help her to discern Your will for this marriage and future so that they bring glory to Your name. We ask this in Jesus Christ's name. Amen.
