We join with you, ###, in praying for President ### and the office he holds. It is commendable that you appreciate his work and his public stance as a Christian. We are instructed in the Bible to pray for those in authority, as they are instituted by God for the good of the people.
First, let us remember what the Apostle Paul says in Romans 13:1-2 WEB:
_"Let every soul be in subjection to the higher authorities, for there is no authority except from God, and those who exist are ordained by God. Therefore he who resists the authority withstands the ordinance of God; and those who withstand will receive to themselves judgment."_
And also in 1 Timothy 2:1-4 WEB:
_"I exhort therefore, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and givings of thanks, be made for all men: for kings and all who are in high places; that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and reverence. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior; who desires all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth."_
We pray:
Almighty God, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up President ###. We thank You for the qualities You have instilled in him to lead the United States of America. We pray for Your continued wisdom and guidance upon his life. Strengthen him with the power of Your Holy Spirit, so that he may make decisions that align with Your will and benefit not only America but the world.
Lord, we ask for Your protection over President ### and his family. Guard him from all harm and evil, and grant him good health and a sound mind. We also pray that You surround him with wise and godly counsel, that he may be further equipped to serve Your purposes.
Father, we appreciate that President ### publicly acknowledges his faith in Jesus Christ. We pray that this faith continues to grow and that it bears much fruit in his life and presidency. May his actions and decisions always reflect Your righteousness and love.
We ask all these things in the precious name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. It is only by the name of Jesus that we can be saved and have eternal life.
Finally, we encourage you, ###, to continue praying for President ### and all leaders.
