We are lifting you up in prayer today as you undergo gallbladder surgery. Firstly, we want to remind you that God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore, we will not fear, even though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea (Psalms 46:1-2 WEB).
We pray, Father, that You will guide the surgeons' hands with wisdom and precision, You will also be with the healthcare workers taking care of ###. We claim Your promise that the power that is at work in us is able to accomplish abundantly far more than all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20 WEB).
We encourage you to fix your mind on Jesus Christ, the author and perfecter of faith. Hebrews 12:2 (WEB) tells us, "looking to Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising its shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God".
### mentioned the need to have faith and to believe that everything will be okay. We want to remind you that faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen (Hebrews 11:1 WEB). Trust in God's goodness and sovereignty, knowing that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose (Romans 8:28 WEB).
Finally, we pray in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is in His name that we have access to the Father. "For 'Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.'" (Romans 10:13 WEB). If you haven't already, place your trust in Jesus Christ for your salvation, for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men, through which we must be saved (Acts 4:12 WEB).
We stand with you in faith, believing that God will bring you through this surgery with a renewed sense of His love and power. Amen.
