Prayer for Strength, Succession and Recovery from Operation

A good friend of my husband and I, is having a major operation this week. We live in Northern Ireland, her husband and her are having to fly to a hospital in London to perform the operation. She has a hereditary lung condition, and her lungs have been deteriorating for several years. The operation involves having the bad part of both lungs removed, in order that breathing capacity can be increased. Unfortunately with this operation, there are high risks involved, and she has been told there is a likelihood of 'passing' away during the procedure. She is a very strong individual with three children, and doesn't let many of life's obstacles deter her from pushing ahead. As she is aware of the situation, she has already made a funeral plan, and has left instructions on the fridge of what shall be required. Naturally, she is very concerned and apprehensive regarding the surgery, but knows it could have a positive effect on her life if successful. I think it is her family and friends who are the most frightened by everything.
Please pray for Fiona, that she may have strength and that the surgery shall be successful. We would like to see her quality of life improved and obviously don't want to lose her! I also pray for a speedy recovery on the other side. Personally, I can't imagine having to face such an ordeal myself.

Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our dear friend Fiona who is facing a major operation this week. Lord, You are the Great Physician, and we ask for Your divine intervention in her life. We pray for the surgeons and medical team in London, that You would guide their hands and grant them wisdom and precision as they perform this delicate procedure.

Lord, Fiona has been battling a hereditary lung condition for years, and we ask that You would strengthen her body and spirit. As she undergoes this surgery to remove the deteriorated parts of her lungs, we pray for a successful outcome that will increase her breathing capacity and improve her quality of life.

Father, we know that there are high risks involved, and Fiona has been told there is a likelihood of passing away during the procedure. We ask for Your protection over her, that You would sustain her life and bring her through this surgery safely. Give her peace that surpasses all understanding, and let her feel Your comforting presence.

We also lift up her husband, children, and all her family and friends who are frightened and concerned. Grant them Your peace and assurance, knowing that You are in control. Help them to trust in Your plan and to find comfort in Your promises.

Lord, we pray for a speedy recovery for Fiona on the other side of this surgery. May she experience renewed strength and health, and may her life be a testimony of Your healing power. We place Fiona in Your loving hands, trusting that You will carry her through this ordeal.

God heal me, body, soul, and spirit. Cleansed me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You or breaks Your heart. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, pray Your best for me, and all those I love and care about.
