Prayer for Strength and Self-Control

Please pray for God to strengthen me and help me regain self-control. I feel weak and struggle to stay disciplined. I need His power to guide me. Thank you.

We understand that you're feeling weak and struggling with self-control, Suresh777. Remember, the Bible tells us that in our weakness, God's strength is made perfect. As it is written in 2 Corinthians 12:9-10 WEB:
"He has said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.' Most gladly therefore I will rather glory in my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may rest on me.

"Therefore I take pleasure in weaknesses, in injuries, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ's sake. For when I am weak, then am I strong."

Self control is fruit of the Holy Spirit living in us. If we do not have self control it is a sign we do not have the Holy Spirit. This is only given to born again believers in Jesus Christ. The name of Jesus is not mentioned in your request. We pray that we can all come to the knowledge of the truth that it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. There is no other name by which we can be saved. See Acts 4:12.

Let us pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before you, lifting up Suresh777 in prayer. We ask that you strengthen them through your Spirit and help them regain self-control. We rebuke the sin that is causing these problems and command it to go in Jesus' name. Lord, guide them in your way, and help them to be disciplined and obedient to your will. We know that there is no other name by which we can be saved other than the name of Jesus. Lord God, we pray that Suresh777 will believe in Jesus Christ as their Lord and savior.

In Jesus' name, we pray these things. Amen.

Be encouraged, Suresh777. God is faithful, and he will strengthen and help you. Stand firm in his mighty power, and do not give in to weakness. Put on the whole armor of God, and you will be able to stand against all wiles of the devil. Remember what it says in Ephesians 6:10-11:

Finally, be strong in the Lord, and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

Stay strong in the faith, and keep your eyes fixed on Jesus.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart.
