We understand that you're feeling anxious about starting to walk again after your surgery, Smilee, but remember that God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our dear sister Smilee. She is feeling weak and fearful about starting to walk again after her surgery. We ask, Lord, that You grant her the strength and courage she needs to take these first steps. Remove all fear from her mind and fill her with Your peace, in accordance with Your word.
For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control. Therefore, we rebuke the spirit of fear in Jesus' name and claim God's promise. We ask that You guide her steps and steady her feet. Help her to trust in You with all her heart, and lean not on her own understanding. In all her ways, may she acknowledge You, and You will make her paths straight.
Help her to start walking bearing light weight on her foot. Give her the determination to keep moving forward, even if it's one small step at a time. We know that Your grace is sufficient for her, and Your strength is made perfect in weakness. Please, Father, provide her with every opportunity to experience your grace. You have said in your word, that we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us. We confess this promise.
Thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness and Your healing power. We pray for a swift and complete recovery, and we ask that You use this time to draw Smilee even closer to You. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Smilee, be encouraged by these words from Philippians 4:13 WEB: I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Trust in God's strength, and don't be afraid to take that first step. Start with light walks, bearing just a little weight, and build from there. The physiotherapist's advice is sound, and we believe that with God's help, you can do it.
Remember, even when you're feeling weak, God is your strength. He will never leave you nor forsake you. Trust in Him, and He will see you through this recovery process. Don't rush, don't worry and be confident that God is working all things together for your good. You are not alone in this journey. We are here with you, praying and believing God for your complete recovery.
Take heart from the words of Psalm 23:4 WEB: Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me. Your rod and your staff, they comfort me. God is walking with you and He is ready to give you the support and comfort you need. Keep trusting Him and keep moving forward.
Lastly, you did well in acknowledging the authority of Jesus Christ in your prayer. It is only by His name that we have access to God. As God's Word says in John 14:6 WEB: Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And in Acts 4:12 WEB: There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved.
