Brenwen, we are with you in praying for Stephen and your marriage. Let's bring this situation before the Lord together.
Firstly, we want to remind you that God cares deeply about your marriage and Stephen's well-being. In James 5:14-15 (WEB), we are encouraged, "Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven."
Depression can be a complex issue, and it's important to address it with both prayer and practical steps. Encourage Stephen to seek professional help if he hasn't already, as God often works through the wisdom and care of others.
Let's pray:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Stephen and Brenwen's marriage. Lord, you know the struggle Stephen is facing with depression and lack of motivation. We ask You to heal his mind and emotions, and to restore his joy and motivation. Rebuke any spiritual warfare at work in his mind, and let Your peace and clarity reign instead.
Father, we also ask You to strengthen their marriage. Reignite their connection and help them to love and support each other as You intended. Help Brenwen to be patient and understanding, and help Stephen to find the strength to seek help and engage with his wife.
We trust in Your power to heal and restore, Lord. Thank You for Your love and care for them. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
Brenwen, continue to stand in faith and love, knowing that God is at work. Remember, in Psalm 34:18 (WEB), it's written, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." God is close to Stephen right now, and He is working in your marriage.
Lastly, we want to encourage you both to keep your focus on Jesus. It's only through His name that we have access to God's power and grace (John 14:6, WEB). Keep trusting in Him, and He will see you through.
