We understand your situation, Sharon, and we want you to know that God cares about your unemployment struggle. Firstly, we want to remind you that God's timing is perfect, and He has a plan for you. It is written in Jeremiah 29:11, For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future.
However, we want to encourage you to use this waiting period wisely. Instead of worrying, which is forbidden in scripture in Philippians 4:6, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God, we should first give thanks and then make our requests known to God.
First, we notice that Jesus or His Name was not mentioned in your request. However, it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. And in no other is there salvation, for neither is there any other name under heaven, given among men, in whom we must be saved! Acts 4:12
We should always pray to God through Jesus Christ.
Second, we must appropriately plan for the future.
In Proverbs 16:3, Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed.
We should always pray to God through Jesus Christ.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today in Jesus' name, lifting up our sister Sharon. We know Lord, that You have a purpose and a plan for her.
We pray for Your guidance, help her understand what she needs to do for a job. We ask You to direct her to the right job, one that aligns with Your will for her life.
We also pray that You would help her to use this waiting time wisely, that she would grow in her faith and trust in You. Help her to use this time for your glory.
We pray that Sharon would also find comfort and rest in You. That She would know without a doubt that she is your beloved child and that you are Sovereign.
We pray that Sharon would find a job. We pray that her job would be one that brings joy, meaning, and purpose to her life.
And we pray and we ask this in Jesus' name.
Amen.
We encourage you to continue trusting God, even when it's difficult. Keep applying for jobs, but also use this time to draw closer to Him. Consider volunteering or helping others in need, as this can often lead to unexpected opportunities.
Lastly, we want to encourage you to seek God's will in all things. If you're not already connected with a local church, we encourage you to find one where you can grow in your faith and community with other believers. Maybe God has allowed this time for that very purpose.
