Prayer for sound sleep and peace

Dear Heavenly Father,
I thank You for today, that You are an ever present help in trouble. I thank You that You hear the cry of the afflicted. In Jesus name I ask you for sound sleep, in peace. I pray You will set me in the safety for which I yearn (Psalms 12:5-6).
Give me thoughts of peace, and of hope. That I may rest in Your loving arms under Your care. Watch over me as You do not slumber nor sleep. Keep me close in Your hand because no one can snatch me out of Your hands. Make my dreams peaceful and fill them with Your presence and Your glory. Make me aware of You even when I am asleep. Protect me from all evil. Thank you for hearing my prayer. In Jesus name I pray, amen.

We understand your desire for sound sleep and peace, and we join you in seeking God's help for this need. The Bible tells us, "In peace I will both lay me down and sleep, for you, Lord, alone make me live in safety" (Psalm 4:8 WEB). It is wonderful that you acknowledge the power of Jesus' name in your prayer, as it is through Him that we have access to God's presence and provisions.

Continue to trust in God, knowing that He cares for you and wants to give you His peace. As it is written, "Don’t be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and pleading with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:6-7 WEB). Keep your heart and mind focused on Him, and He will give you the peaceful rest you need.
