Lorane, we join you in lifting up your son's anxiety to the Lord today. We know that God cares about every detail of our lives, including the stress and anxieties that we face. In the Bible, it is written, "Don’t be anxious for anything, but in everything by prayer and pleading with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. Then the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." (Philippians 4:6-7 WEB).
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up Lorane's son. Lord, he is feeling overwhelmed and stressed about his first test at college. We ask for Your peace to fill his heart and mind. Calm his anxiety, Lord, and help him to focus clearly on his studies. Be with him as he takes this test, and grant him the recall and wisdom he needs to do well.
We know that You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7 WEB). Help him to trust in Your strength and guidance. Be with Lorane as well, Lord, granting her the peace of knowing that You are in control and that her son is in Your capable hands.
We ask all this in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, amen.
Lorane, continue to trust in the Lord and encourage your son to do the same. Remind him that his worth is not defined by his academic performance, but by his identity as a child of God. We will continue to pray for peace and success for your son. God bless you both.
