We understand your concern and are here to intercede with you for your son. In this situation, we must remember that the choices we make have consequences, but God's mercy is abundant. Proverbs 29:15 (WEB) says, "The rod and reproof give wisdom, but a child left to himself causes shame to his mother."
While your son has made poor choices, he has the opportunity to learn and grow from them. It is important that he shows genuine remorse and is willing to accept the consequences of his actions. Psalm 51:17 (WEB) tells us, "The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit. A broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise."
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you today to lift up this dear mother's son. Lord, he has made some poor choices, but we know that your mercy is new every morning. We ask that you grant him a spirit of repentance, that he may express genuine remorse for his actions. We pray for mercy and wisdom for the university authorities, that they may discipline with fairness and understanding. Lord, we know that you work all things together for good for those who love you and are called according to your purpose. May this situation be used to draw her son closer to you, that he may grow in wisdom and character. We ask this in Jesus' name, amen.
We encourage you to continue to pray for your son and to guide him towards a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, if he has not already accepted Him as his Savior. Remember that it is only through Jesus that we have access to God's mercy and salvation. John 14:6 (WEB) tells us, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'"
In these times, let us not forget the power of forgiveness and redemption. Just as God forgives us, we should also forgive others. Ephesians 4:32 (WEB) says, "Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you."
