Prayer for someone who suffered a tremendous loss in death

We are truly saddened to hear about the tremendous loss that ### has experienced due to death. In times like these, it's crucial to turn to God for comfort and strength. Let us come together in prayer and support, trusting in the Lord's goodness and mercy.
Firstly, we want to remind ### of the precious promise in Psalm 34:18, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." God is close to you, dear one, and He understands the depth of your pain.
In the face of death, we are also reassured by the words of Jesus in John 11:25-26, "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will still live, even if he dies. Whoever lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this?" Our faith in Jesus Christ gives us hope that death is not the end, and we will be reunited with our loved ones in eternity.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up ### who is mourning a great loss. Lord, we ask that You comfort them as only You can. Wrap them in Your loving arms, and wipe away their tears. Help them to feel Your presence and know that You are near.
Lord Jesus, we thank You for the hope that we have in You. We know that death has been conquered and that those who believe in You will live again. Help ### to find peace and reassurance in this truth.
Holy Spirit, guide ### through the grieving process. Help them to find strength in You, and to trust in Your goodness even in this difficult time. Surround them with loving and supportive people who will walk alongside them in this journey.
In Jesus' precious name, we pray. Amen.
