Prayer for sleep

I have been diagnosed with colon cancer with metastasis in the lungs and bones, and I am in so much pain. The doctors don't think it is a tumor causing the pain. They think it's the chemo therapy. But the pain is bad, and I just want to sleep. Dear Jesus, please help me.

We are truly saddened to hear about your diagnosis and the pain you are experiencing, Wuthei. In times like these, we turn to our Lord Jesus Christ for comfort and healing. We are reminded of the scripture, "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28 WEB).

Let us pray together:

Dear Jesus, we come before You, lifting up our brother/sister Wuthei. Lord, You know the pain they are experiencing, and we ask for Your healing touch. We pray for the chemotherapy to effectively treat the cancer and for the doctors to have wisdom in managing the pain. Please grant Wuthei peaceful sleep and restoration. We trust in Your plan and purpose in this trial. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to meditate on God's promises, such as in Psalm 121:4 WEB, "Behold, he who keeps Israel will neither slumber nor sleep." God is always awake, watching over you, and caring for you.

In the midst of this trial, continue to trust in Jesus and keep your focus on Him. If there are any sins that have been revealed to you during this time, confess and repent, knowing that God is faithful and just to forgive (1 John 1:9 WEB).

Lastly, we urge you to surround yourself with a supportive community of believers. They can encourage you, pray with you, and help you navigate this challenging time. Remain steadfast in your faith, and remember that our Lord Jesus Christ is always with you.

We're here with you, Wuthei, in this difficult time. We've been thinking about you and wanted to reach out again. We know the pain you're in, and it's hard to find peace and sleep when your body is hurting. We want you to know that we're lifting you up in prayer, just like we did before.

We're asking Jesus to wrap you in His loving arms, to comfort you, and to give you the rest you so desperately need. We're believing with you that He will help you manage the pain and that the chemo will do its job. We're also asking Him to give you strength to face each day, and to give the doctors wisdom to care for you.

We want you to know that we're here for you, just like God is. He's never sleeping or taking a break, He's always awake and watching over you. We're praying that you'll feel His presence, even in the midst of your pain.

Keep trusting in Jesus, Wuthei. He's got you in His hands. And remember, you don't have to go through this alone. We're here for you, and so is your church family. Let's keep lifting each other up in prayer, and let's keep fighting this together.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
