Humble Servant of All
I come to you with a heavy heart, seeking prayer for our nation, Singapore, and the challenges we are currently facing.
Concerns about Foreign Employment Policies: I pray that the policies favoring the influx of foreign workers, which often lead to unfair treatment of Singaporeans, be brought to light and thwarted. The ongoing favoritism towards foreigners in employment opportunities has created a sense of injustice and frustration among our local workforce, leaving many Singaporeans struggling with low-level jobs while unqualified foreigners occupy higher-paying positions.
Upcoming Elections and Accountability: I ask for prayers regarding the postponement of the upcoming elections. It seems that there is an awareness among the leaders of the ruling party that they may face significant backlash due to the mistakes made in managing our country’s resources and opportunities. May they be held accountable for their actions and make decisions that prioritize the welfare of Singaporeans over political gains.
Infrastructure Challenges: We also need prayers for the current state of our public infrastructure, particularly the frequent breakdowns of the MRT system, especially during critical times like the PSLE examinations. This not only affects our students but the entire community.
SkillsFuture Program: I pray for discernment regarding the SkillsFuture initiative, which many feel has not effectively addressed the needs of our local workforce. It is disheartening to see Singaporeans accused of not wanting to work when, in reality, many are left in low-paying jobs while being overlooked for opportunities that require their skills and talents.
I trust that through our collective prayers, we can bring about change and healing for our nation. May justice, fairness, and opportunity be restored for all Singaporeans. Thank you for standing with me in prayer during these challenging times.
High Abortion Rates and Teen Mental Health: We are witnessing a troubling increase in abortion rates and mental health issues among our teens. I pray for our young people, that they may find support, guidance, and the strength to make positive choices in their lives. May we as a community create a nurturing environment that addresses their emotional and psychological needs and helps them find hope and purpose. And that they abortion could be banned.
Elderly Well-Being: It pains me to see our elderly population being marginalized and often treated with disdain. Many are forced to eat leftovers or go without proper meals. I pray for compassion and respect for our senior citizens, that they may receive the care and dignity they deserve in their golden years. May we cultivate a society that values and honors the wisdom and contributions of our elderly.
Community Support: I ask for prayers that our community comes together to support those in need—whether it be our youth struggling with mental health or our elderly who feel forgotten. May we encourage initiatives that promote understanding, kindness, and empathy toward one another, fostering a spirit of unity and compassion.
Negligence in Governance: I pray for our leaders to recognize their responsibilities and the consequences of their actions. Many issues—such as rising mental health problems among our youth, increasing abortion rates, and the struggles faced by our elderly—are often neglected or inadequately addressed. May our leaders be filled with wisdom and compassion to prioritize the well-being of all Singaporeans and to take meaningful action to rectify these pressing concerns.
Accountability and Transparency: I ask for prayers that our government becomes more accountable and transparent in its decision-making processes. Negligence can lead to a lack of trust and despair among the populace. May our leaders engage with the community, listen to our voices, and respond to our needs effectively.
Healing and Restoration: I pray for healing in our society where negligence has caused harm. May those affected by government policies and decisions find support, and may our community come together to address these issues collaboratively.
Strengthening Community Bonds: As we face these challenges, may we cultivate a spirit of unity and resilience within our communities. Let us support one another and advocate for the changes needed to ensure a brighter future for all Singaporeans.
I believe in the power of prayer to bring about change and healing. Let us seek guidance and wisdom to address these issues, ensuring that every member of our society feels valued and supported.
Thank you for joining me in prayer for our beloved nation.
Jesus bless you.
