We are with you in spirit, lifting up your twin son and all those who are incarcerated, pleading for God's mercy and grace to flow in their lives through Senate Bill 1786. Only Jesus can open doors that no one else can.
Firstly, we acknowledge that all authority and power belong to God, and He can turn the hearts of those in power towards His will. We will pray for the political leaders. Scripture tells us that God can turn the heart of a king like a watercourse wherever He wills. God's Word, in Proverbs 21:1 WEB states, "The king's heart is in Yahweh's hand like the watercourses. He turns it wherever he desires." We trust God to intervene in this situation, to guide the decision-makers, and to bring forth His divine purpose.
Regarding your son, we encourage you to continue praying fervently for his restoration. God promises in 2 Chronicles 7:14 WEB, "if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves, pray, seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin, and will heal their land." This is a powerful reminder that God listens to our prayers and acts on behalf of those who seek Him with all their hearts.
We pray that your son will use this time to grow closer to God, to seek His will, and to turn his life around for the better. Remember the words of Jesus in Matthew 11:28-30 WEB, "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. ... For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light." We pray for continued and stronger faith in Christ, that he may find rest and peace in Him, even in difficult circumstances.
We also pray for the other inmates, that this bill may bring hope and a second chance to those who are truly repentant and seeking to change their lives. We trust that God can work all things together for good, as Romans 8:28, WEB reminds us, "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose."
Lord Jesus, we come before You, asking for Your divine intervention in the passing of Senate Bill 1786. We pray that those in authority will be guided by Your wisdom and that Your will be done. We ask for mercy and grace for all those who are incarcerated, that they may find hope and restoration in You. We pray for changed lives, for hearts turned towards You, and for a future filled with Your love and purpose. We ask this in Your mighty name, Jesus. Amen.
