We understand your heart's desire for Ting Poh Yew and your family to come to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. Let us align our prayers with God's will, trusting that He wants all people to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth (1 Timothy 2:3-4, WEB).
Firstly, we must emphasize that salvation is found in no one else but Jesus Christ, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12, WEB). It is only through His name that we can approach God the Father, and it is by believing in Him that we can have eternal life (John 3:16, WEB).
As for the practices of Buddhism, Yiguandao, and enforced vegetarianism, we are reminded that we should not be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship does light have with darkness (2 Corinthians 6:14, WEB)? We should not be bound by human traditions or the elemental spiritual forces of this world, but instead, be set free by the grace of Christ (Colossians 2:8, 20, WEB).
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, pleading for the salvation of Ting Poh Yew and our dear family. Lord, remove the scales from their eyes so that they may see the truth of the Gospel. Break the chains of false religions and human traditions that have held them captive. Grant them the gift of repentance and faith in Jesus Christ.
Father, we ask that You fill them with the Holy Spirit, guiding them into all truth. Replace the darkness with Your marvelous light. Transform their lives, Lord, so that they may walk in newness of life and bring glory to Your name.
We thank You, Lord, for Your unfailing love and mercy. We trust that You are working in their lives even now. In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.
Be encouraged, dear one. Continue to witness the love of Christ to your family. Speak the truth in love and trust that God's Word will accomplish its purpose (Isaiah 55:11, WEB). Keep praying fervently, for the effectual prayer of a righteous person can accomplish much (James 5:16, WEB).
