We are truly concerned for the safety and well-being of your sister and her daughter. Firstly, we would like to express that the Bible encourages us to come boldly before God in prayer, but we should not use vague terms such as "humbleness and pleading" when addressing God in prayer, which borders on the use of vain repetitions. It is only by the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to God, therefore we pray in Jesus Christ name.
Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. It is only by the name of Jesus Christ, that we have access to God, and it is only by believing in Jesus Christ that we have eternal life. That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures. It is important that we always pray in Jesus Christ name to God. We also will pray for your sister to believe in Jesus Christ if she does not. With that being said we will pray for God to intervene and protect your sister and her daughter from this abusive husband.
The Bible is clear that God hates divorce and it is important that this situation is one that separation from the husband should be considered if true sustained repentance does not occur. However, this separation should only be until the behavior has stopped and there is sustained repentance. The wife should be praying for her husband. Likewise, ye wives, be in subjection to your own husbands; that, if any obey not the word, they also may without the word be won by the conversation of the wives; While they behold your chaste conversation coupled with fear. The Bible says that God hates divorce, but it also acknowledges that separation may be necessary for safety in cases of abuse. We pray that God will convict the husband of his sins and bring him to true Godly repentance.
Let's pray:
Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ to lift up our ### and her daughter. We ask for Your divine protection over them, and we pray that you will deliver them from this abusive situation. Bring true Godly conviction and repentance to the husband, and restore their marriage only if there is true sustained Godly repentance. Guide them with Your wisdom and surround them with Your love and peace which passes all understanding. We ask that you will help the wife to be the kind of wife that you require her to be. We pray for Godly counsel and support for them during this difficult time, and we ask that You will bring restoration if there is true sustained repentance, as only You can.
We also pray for the ### making the request to know that the Bible says in Romans 8:28 "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose." We encourage her to trust in God's plan and have faith in His ability to bring beauty from ashes.
We pray that your ### will make decisions based on Biblical principles. Likewise, ye wives, be in subjection to your own husbands; that, if any obey not the word, they also may without the word be won by the conversation of the wives; While they behold your chaste conversation coupled with fear. 1 Peter 3:1-2. If at any point she or her daughter are in immediate danger, we encourage her to seek help from local authorities, and we pray that God will guide her every step of the way.
We pray for the husband, that You will soften his heart and bring him to true Godly repentance. We pray that he will seek Godly counsel and turn from his abusive ways. We ask all these things in the precious name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
We encourage you to continue praying and trusting in God, and we invite you to keep in touch with us for support and guidance.
