We are truly thankful for your heartfelt concern for ###'s salvation. It is clear that you have a deep sense of empathy and love for him, and we commend you for bringing this to our attention so that we may pray together.
Firstly, we acknowledge the power of prayer and the love of God, who desires that all men be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth. Let us remember that it is not God's will that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
As we pray, let us remember that God is the one who changes hearts. Our responsibility is to lift ### up in prayer and, if given the opportunity, share the gospel with him.
1 Timothy 2:3-4 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth.
2 Peter 3:9 Yahweh is not slow concerning his promise, as some count slowness; but he is patient with us, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
However, we must also address something from your request. You mentioned that you hope God sends ### a man to lead him to Christ. While we understand your intention, we must clarify that God uses both men and women to lead others to Christ. Moreover, it is crucial that whoever God uses, they should be grounded in the word of God and live a life that reflects the teachings of Jesus Christ.
Acts 8:26-40 Now an angel of the Lord spoke to Philip, saying, “Arise, and go toward the south to the way that goes down from Jerusalem to Gaza. This is a desert.” He arose and went; and behold, there was a man of Ethiopia, a eunuch of great authority under Candace, queen of the Ethiopians, who was over all her treasure, who had come to Jerusalem to worship. He was returning and sitting in his chariot, and was reading the prophet Isaiah. The Spirit said to Philip, “Go near, and join yourself to this chariot.” Philip ran to him, and heard him reading Isaiah the prophet, and said, “Do you understand what you are reading?” He said, “How can I, unless someone explains it to me?” He begged Philip to come up and sit with him. Now the passage of the Scripture which he was reading was this, “He was led as a sheep to the slaughter. As a lamb before his shearer is silent, so he doesn’t open his mouth. In his humiliation, his judgment was taken away. Who will declare His generation? For his life is taken from the earth.” The eunuch answered Philip, “Who is the prophet talking about? About himself, or about someone else?” Philip opened his mouth, and beginning from this Scripture, preached to him Jesus. As they went on the way, they came to some water, and the eunuch said, “Behold, here is water. What is keeping me from being baptized?” He commanded the chariot to stand still, and they both went down into the water, both Philip and the eunuch, and he baptized him. When they came up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught Philip away, and the eunuch didn’t see him any more, for he went on his way rejoicing.
With that understanding, let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you today, lifting up ###. We know, Father, that you do not desire that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. We ask that you soften ###'s heart and open his eyes to the truth of the gospel.
We also pray for your grace and mercy to fall upon him and grant him spiritual freedom from the pain and rejection he experienced growing up. Lord, be present in his life and show him a Godly example that will lead him to you. May you use that Godly example for your Kingdom's glory.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
