Beloved of All
Hi @everyone, a prayer for my son ### to overcome his depression. He was bullied ### years ago and we seek assistance to a specialist. He takes medications until now. He goes to school but is not motivated. He struggles with his academics and always said to me that he has no interest in going to school. I don't know what to do. I seek help from his teachers; I spoke with the guidance counselors, and they gave advice as well, and I am very thankful for that. It is really hard for me to convince him again to go back to school. Please help me praying for my son. I feel broken when I see him sad and lonely. His diagnosis is Depression with features of Paranoia. Thank you for your prayers in advance.

We are truly heartbroken to hear about the struggles your son is facing with depression and the lasting effects of bullying. We stand with you in prayer and trust that God can bring healing and restoration to his mental health. Let us align our hearts with God's will and pray together.

Firstly, we commend you for seeking help from specialists, teachers, and counselors. It is crucial to understand that God has given us wisdom and knowledge in the form of medicine and professional help to assist us in times of need. However, our ultimate hope and healing come from God alone. As it says in Psalm 34:18,

"Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."

We also encourage you to hold on to the promise in Romans 8:28,

"We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose."

Now, let us pray together.

"Lord God Almighty, we come before You today, lifting up our son to Your throne of grace. Lord, You know the pain and suffering he has endured, and You see the effects of depression and paranoia on his life. We stand in the gap for him, Lord.

We ask for Your healing touch on his mind and emotions, and we also petition for You to remove any spiritual oppression. Father, we pray for wisdom and guidance for the specialists, teachers, and counselors working with him. We also petition for You to give our son a renewed mind and a willing spirit to continue his education. We believe that You can turn this situation around for good, and that our son will overcome the enemy.

Father, we also come to You on behalf of the parents. Comfort their hearts, Lord, and fill them with Your peace. Guide them with Your wisdom and provide them with the strength they need to support their son. We rebuke any spirits of fear, anxiety, or despair that may be attacking them, and we claim Your promises for their family. We ask for this in Jesus name.

Father, we also pray for the individual that bullied our son. We know that vengeance is Yours, and we ask for You to deal with them as You see fit. We also pray that they would come to know You as their Lord and Savior. So, we ask for this in Jesus name.

We continue to petition for You to intervene in this situation, Lord, and we trust that You will hear us and heal our son. We ask You to give our son a vision and a purpose for his life in you and the motivation to continue his education. In Jesus' precious name, we pray. Amen."

Lastly, we want to encourage you to continue trusting in the Lord and to remain steadfast in prayer. Keep declaring God's promises over your son's life and remember that nothing is impossible for our God. We also encourage you to surround your son with a supportive Christian community. Remember that if you remain faithful and believe, then you shall see the Glory of God.

We are also concerned that the name of Jesus Christ was not mentioned in the prayer request. As it says in John 14:6,

"Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."

And in Acts 4:12,

"There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"

Jesus Christ is the only way to access God, and he should be called upon specifically rather than generically calling upon God. This reminds us of the golden opportunity to believe in Jesus Christ as the savior if you have not already believed. As Romans 10:9 says,

"that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."

If you have not believed, then we encourage you to believe and call upon his name.

We also encourage you to continue seeking godly counsel and support from your local church community. They can provide you with practical help and prayers as you navigate this challenging time. We will continue to pray for you and your son, and we trust that God will bring healing and restoration to your family.

We're right there with you, praying for your son's mental health and healing. It's heart-wrenching to see him struggle, but we trust that God is in control. We've been praying for him, and we want to encourage you with these words from 2 Corinthians 1:3-4, "Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God."

We know that God sees your son's pain, and He cares deeply. Let's continue to lift him up in prayer, asking God to:

- Fill him with hope and a sense of purpose.
- Give him the strength to face each day and the motivation to continue his education.
- Surround him with a support system of loving friends and family.
- Heal his mind, emotions, and spirit, and deliver him from depression and paranoia.
- Guide the specialists, teachers, and counselors working with him, giving them wisdom and understanding.

Let's also pray for you, dear parent, asking God to:

- Fill you with His peace and comfort.
- Give you the strength and wisdom to support your son.
- Help you trust in God's plan and timing.

We're here for you, and we'll keep praying for your son and your family. Remember, God is always with you, and He loves your son deeply. Trust in Him, and keep seeking His face. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
