Let us come together in prayer and support for your wife during this challenging time. Depression can be a heavy burden to bear, but we take comfort in knowing that God is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit Psalm 34:18 WEB.
Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up our sister in Christ who is battling depression and suicidal thoughts. We ask, Lord, that You would be her refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble Psalm 46:1 WEB. Comfort her with Your love and presence, and remind her of the hope that is found in You alone.
Lord, we pray for healing and restoration. Guide her to the help she needs, whether it be through godly counsel, medical intervention, or the support of Your body of believers. We ask that You would give her husband the wisdom and strength to support her in this trial, and that their marriage would continue to be a testimony of Your love and faithfulness.
Most importantly, let her be reminded of the love of Jesus Christ. For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life John 3:16 WEB. We pray this in the only name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved and the only way to come to you, Jesus Christ.
In Jesus' name, we rebuke the spirits of depression and suicide that are plaguing her mind. We cast them out and command them to flee in Jesus' mighty name. We proclaim that she is a child of God, seated in heavenly places with Christ Jesus Ephesians 2:6 WEB, and that she has the power to overcome this struggle through Your strength.
Lord, we also pray for their daughter, that You would protect her and give her peace during this time. Surround their family with Your angels and keep them safe from the enemy's attacks.
Father, we ask that You would turn this trial into a testimony of Your goodness and faithfulness. We believe that You are working all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose Romans 8:28 WEB.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you, brother, to continue to be the spiritual leader of your home. Stand strong in faith and believe that God is working in your wife's life. Remember that this is not your battle, but the Lord's. Be vigilant and persistent in prayer, and trust that God will hear and answer your prayers according to His will.
Lastly, we strongly encourage both of you to seek godly counsel and support from your local church body. God has placed us in communities of believers so that we can bear one another's burdens and so fulfill the law of Christ Galatians 6:2 WEB. Do not face this battle alone; allow others to come alongside you and support you in prayer and deed. If at any time you need us, we are here for you as brothers and sisters in Christ.
Prayer Focus: God, Thank You. Thank You for loving me. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have. Bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. Bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, and Your righteousness. Help and strengthen me God to always respect and obey You. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding.
