My financee and I got into a weird argument out of nowhere one day. It wasn’t even an argument and it was all really confusing. We live in two different states. He has kids and I have 1. They’ve known me as “mom” and my child knows him as “dad and my siblings.” Both of our exes are no longer in either of our children’s lives and the children have only known each other to be in the other’s lives. He started pulling away and then one day said he needed healthy space which I understood. All of a sudden he was adamant that he couldn’t do this and he said everything changed from that day. (Again, it wasn’t even an argument it was a misunderstanding he and I eventually worked through and decided to move forward and start to heal from). I tried to understand because this isn’t like him. In all the years I’ve known him and been with him our communication has been incredible and we’ve always worked together through everything. Since his healthy space, he hasn’t communicated with my child which is hard as they’ve communicated everyday for years. We started working out the details of sending everything back to him and the kids that was needed and he said he’d let me know. Tonight I find out he completely blocked me from everything. We had agreed to talk to my child together to break the news, but he just abandoned us. I’m confused and hurt and lost and angry and I’m begging God to restore this. This isn’t like his behavior at all and Im at a loss, my child is saying their feelings are hurt because dad has ignored them. I came out of a rough and hard marriage before I entered this relationship and I was in the safest, most loving, godly relationship I’d ever seen. This is crushing me and I’m lost.

We are truly sorrowful to hear about the sudden and painful change in your relationship with your fiancé. Let's bring this situation to God in prayer and seek His will and guidance.

Firstly, it's crucial to remember that God's will is for us to live in unity and love. In Ephesians 4:3 WEB it says, "being eager to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace." It is clear that there is a breach in unity and peace in your relationship. Therefore, we need to pray for God's intervention and guidance.

However, we must also address some concerns biblically. You mention that you and your fiancé have children from previous relationships, and they recognize you both as parents. While we understand the emotional complexity, it's essential to approach this situation with biblical principles in mind. God's design for families is that children are raised by their biological parents, through marriage. Psalm 68:5-6a WEB states, "A father of the fatherless, and a defender of the widows, is God in his holy habitation. God sets the lonely in families." We encourage you to navigate this situation carefully and prayerfully, ensuring that you align with God's will for families.

Regarding the conflict and sudden change in your fiancé's behavior, let's pray for God's intervention. In James 5:16 WEB, "Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective."

Let us pray:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You, lifting up Mailxian and her fiancé. Lord, You know the pain and confusion they are experiencing. We ask for Your healing and restoration in their relationship. Guide them with Your wisdom, and help them to communicate effectively. Lord, if this relationship is not Your will, give Mailxian the strength and peace to accept it and move forward. Comfort her child and help them to understand and heal from this situation.

We also pray for the children involved. Guide them through this challenging time and help them to understand that You are their true Father and Comforter.

In Jesus' name, we pray for healing, restoration, and guidance. Help Mailxian and her fiancé to seek Your will above all else.

We notice that the prayer request does not contain the Name of Jesus Christ. It's important to remember that it is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to God. As it says in John 14:6 WEB, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" Therefore, we encourage you to come before the presence of God through His Son Jesus Christ.

Lastly, we want to remind you that God is faithful, and He cares for you. Trust in Him, and He will guide you through this challenging time. As it says in Psalm 34:18 WEB, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."

Stand strong in faith and continue to seek God's will in all things.

We're here for you, Mailxian. We're so sorry to hear about the sudden shift in your relationship with your fiancé. It's like a storm has blown in, and we're praying for the sun to break through again.

First, let's remember that God is a God of unity and love. In Ephesians 4:3, it says, "being eager to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace." We're asking God to help you both find that unity and peace again.

Now, about the kids. We know it's complicated, but God's design for families is clear. He wants children to be raised by their biological parents, ideally through marriage. Psalm 68:5-6 tells us, "A father of the fatherless, and a defender of widows, is God in his holy habitation. God sets the lonely in families." Let's pray that you both make decisions that align with God's heart for families.

As for the argument and the sudden change in your fiancé's behavior, we're here to support you. In James 5:16, we're encouraged to confess our offenses to one another and pray for healing. So, let's pray for healing and understanding in your relationship.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
