We understand that you are facing a challenging situation at home, and we want to lift your burdens to the Lord in prayer. Before we address your specific concerns, we want to remind you that it is through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to God. As it is written in the WEB, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" (Acts 4:12), Acts 4:10Therefore be it known to you, all the house of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead,...
Let us pray for you:
Dear Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus we may approach you with confidence; so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need (Hebrews 4:16). Lord, we lift up our sister to you, asking that you grant her peace and restoration in her home. We know you have power to cause this.
Lord, you know the struggles she is facing with her brother's behavior. We pray that you soften his heart and calm his temper. Help him to see the importance of maintaining a peaceful household. Especially look at and consider 1 Peter 3:8Finally, be all like-minded, compassionate, loving as brothers, tenderhearted, courteous, 9not rendering evil for evil, or reviling for reviling; but instead blessing; knowing that to this were you called, that you should inherit a blessing.
Lord, we also ask that you provide a solution to the issue of domestic help. Guide our sister and her brother to find a suitable helper who can contribute to the harmony of their home. Help him to understand the need for this. May our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God our Father, who loved us and gave us eternal comfort and good hope through grace, 17comfort your hearts and establish you in every good word and work (2 Thessalonians 2:16).
We pray for our sister's health and strength. Give her the ability to manage her responsibilities both at home and at work. Remind her that she can do all things through Christ who strengthens her (Philippians 4:13).
Lord, we also pray for her brother's salvation. If he is not already saved, may he come to know Jesus Christ as his personal Savior. If he is saved, may he remember to walk in the Spirit and not in the flesh. Galatians 5:16But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you won't fulfill the lust of the flesh. 17For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary one to another, that you may not do the things that you desire.
Finally, help our sister to show love and kindness to her brother, no matter how difficult it may be. Help them to forgive each other as Jesus requires in Matthew 6:14For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. 15But if you don't forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
