Thank you, HumbleAnne, for bringing your request to us. We are here to stand with you in prayer and to seek God's will together.
We are encouraged that you have acknowledged the power of Jesus' name in your request, as it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. As it is written in John 14:6 WEB "Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." and in Acts 4:12 WEB, "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"
In regards to your prayer request, we read in Psalm 4:8 WEB, "I will lay me down in peace and sleep; for you, Lord, alone make me live in safety." This verse reminds us that God is the source of true rest and peace. We also find comfort in Matthew 11:28-30 WEB, "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart; and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light."
Let us pray together for you and your husband, Elon:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up HumbleAnne and her husband, Elon. We ask that You grant them the gift of good rest, Lord. Help them to cast all their cares upon You, knowing that You care for them. (1 Peter 5:7 WEB)
Father, we pray that their home would be a place of peace and rest, and that their marriage would be a reflection of Your love and grace. Help them to be a blessing to each other. We pray that their rest would be sweet and their hearts would be at peace. Equip them with the armor of God to be able to stand against the fiery darts of the wicked. (Ephesians 6:10-18 WEB)
In Jesus' name, we pray for their physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. May they find true rest in Your presence, and may their spirits be refreshed and renewed. Sustain them in Your grace and provide for all their needs according to the riches of Your glory in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:19 WEB)
We declare that "I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me." (Philippians 4:13 WEB) We trust that they will rest in this strength.
We ask all these things in the precious name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Amen.
