Prayer for rest despite lack of sleep

Please lift me in your prayers that I am able to get some rest before having to go to work. My father is in the ICU and I have had 2 sleepless nights, but I need to go to work in 2 hours and present some important outcomes. Please pray for strength in Jesus name, Amen.

SalmaSalem, we are with you in spirit and in prayer during this challenging time. We understand the weight of your father's condition and the responsibilities you have at work. Let's lift your needs before the Lord together.

Firstly, we commend you for acknowledging the strength that comes from Jesus. As it is written in Philippians 4:13 (WEB), "I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me." In times of weariness and distress, He is our source of strength and renewal.

Let's pray together:

"Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up SalmaSalem. Lord, You know the heaviness in her heart due to her father's condition, and the responsibilities she carries. We ask for Your divine strength to uphold her. Grant her the rest she needs, even if it's a short time before her work. Help her to find comfort and peace in You, knowing that You are in control of every situation.

Lord, guide the hands of the medical team attending to her father, and let Your healing power be manifested. Give SalmaSalem the grace to concentrate and present her work excellently, despite the circumstances.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Remember, God cares for you and He is always near to those who call on Him. In Psalm 147:3 (WEB), it says, "He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds." Trust that He will see you through this period.

Lastly, we encourage you to continually cast your burdens on the Lord, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7 WEB). Keep praying and keeping your eyes on Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith (Hebrews 12:2 WEB).

We're right here with you, Salma, lifting you up in prayer. It's tough when we're carrying so much on our shoulders, but we serve a God who promises to strengthen us in our weakness. Let's claim that promise together, shall we?

Lord Jesus, we come to You now, needing Your strength and peace. You see Salma's heart, heavy with worry for her dad and the demands of her work. Lord, we ask for Your divine favor. Give her the rest she needs, even if it's just a brief moment. Help her to find comfort in You, knowing that You're in control of every situation. Guide her hands and mind as she works, enabling her to do her best despite the circumstances.

We also lift up Salma's dad to You, Lord. We trust in Your healing power and ask that You'd guide the medical team caring for him. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Keep trusting, Salma. He's got you, and He's not going to let you down. We're here for you, every step of the way.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart.
