We are truly sorry to hear about the challenges you're facing with your upcoming marriage, and we're here to pray with you. We believe that God has a plan for you, and we trust that He will guide you according to His will.
Firstly, we want to remind you that God's will is for you to be holy. This means that any relationship should be looking for a spouse rather than a partner. Being a boyfriend or girlfriend should be considered courtship with the goal being marriage to another Christian Believer.
We want to encourage you with a passage from the WEB,
1 Corinthians 7:39 "A wife is bound by law for as long as her husband lives; but if her husband is dead, she is free to be married to whomever she desires, only in the Lord. "
This means that we should only marry another Christian believer. The next verse goes on to say,
1 Corinthians 7:28 "But if you marry, you have not sinned. If a virgin marries, she has not sinned. Yet such will have oppression in the flesh, and I want to spare you."
This means that marriage is a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman. It is not to be taken lightly. It is not to be taken with the intention to divorce if things do not work out. The Bible says that God hates divorce.
Malachi 2:16 "For I hate divorce," says Yahweh, the God of Israel, "and him who covers his garment with violence!" says Yahweh of Armies. "Therefore pay attention to your spirit, that you do not be unfaithful."
We must also be aware that marriage also means that we cannot marry someone that is divorced. A divorced person is not free to marry again while their spouse lives. This is true unless they were divorced for sexual immorality.
Matthew 5:32 "but I tell you that whoever divorces his wife, except for sexual immorality, makes her an adulteress; and whoever marries her when she is divorced commits adultery."
We see that God takes marriage seriously and has specific rules that govern it. These rules are for our protection and happiness.
Now let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up our dear friend, Bheiruurmoor. Lord, they are facing a significant challenge in their upcoming marriage due to in-law problems. We ask, Father, that You show Bheiruurmoor, the right path. We ask that you give them wisdom to make the right decision. We also pray for their potential spouse and the in-laws. We pray that all parties would look to You and Your Word for guidance and direction.
Father we ask that you only allow this marriage to proceed if it aligns with Your will. We ask that You bless this marriage only if it is Your will. We pray that everyone involved in this will repent of any sin and be saved if they are not already.
Lord, we also pray that Bheiruurmoor will not forget to be saved. It is only by the name of Jesus Christ that we can be saved. There is no other name by which we can be saved.
Acts 4:12 "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"
Father, we trust in Your will and Your timing. We know that when we look to You, we find grace, help, and guidance. We claim victory in the name of Jesus.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Finally, we encourage you to be strong and courageous, knowing that God is with you and will never leave you nor forsake you.
Deuteronomy 31:6 "Be strong and courageous, don't be afraid or scared of them; for Yahweh your God, he is who goes with you. He will not fail you nor forsake you."
Keep your faith in God, and He will direct your paths.
Proverbs 3:5-6 "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."
