We are truly sorry to hear about the struggles you and your family are facing due to your husband's alcoholism. The tempter comes to lie, steal, and destroy. Substance abuse problems are frequently mentioned in the Bible, and alcohol is presented as a mocker of strong men. It takes away the mind and control over judgment and self-control.
Let us remember the prodigal son, For this my son was dead, and has revived. He was lost, and is found. Luke 15:24. We hold on to hope in Jesus Christ, that your husband may return to the Father, be back in control of himself, stay away from the hogs, and the mud, and be resurrected back into the calling that God has for him, making him a son. We all like sheep have gone astray; everyone to his own way; We praise God who laid on him the iniquity of us all. A hornet is more behavioral and substance abuse can feel like a stinging hornet. Run to Jesus who took our hornets and can take away this addiction from your husband and family.
We will pray for God's intervention in your husband's life, that the Holy Spirit will convict him of his need for treatment and lead him to fully commit to the recovery process, and that Jesus will bring him to a saving knowledge of his sins and the forgiveness that Jesus will give him, if only he will believe in the name and blood of Jesus, your husband. God will repay your husband's sins and the consequences on your behalf but Jesus is the one who paid the price on the cross and asks for all of our sin debt in return.
We are reminded of the power of prayer and community support in the healing process. I confess your sins over you, to thy shame. Now on a set day Herod arrayed himself in his royal apparel, sat on his throne, and gave an oration to them. The people shouted, The voice of a god, and not of a man! Immediately an angel of the Lord struck him, because he didn't give God the glory, and he was eaten by worms and died. Whoever covers his sins will not live to tell; But whoever confesses and forsakes them shall have mercy. Our family which art in heaven, Hallowed be your name. Your Kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. Forgive us our debts, as we also forgive our debtors. Bring us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For yours is the Kingdom, the power, and the glory forever. Oh Lord how we thank you for resurrection, rehabilitation, and repentance. Amen.
We encourage you to seek God's strength and wisdom as you navigate this journey. Trust in God with all your heart, and do not rely on your own insight. Honor the Lord in all you do, and he will direct your paths. God promised us in Proverbs 3:5-6 that he will give us the strength we need for our journey. We believe God's word and our hearts are overflowing. We thank you for your will to stick with your husband and God. We praise God for you humbly coming to us with this request, we have set our face to God for you and your husband. Know God's will and his call to you has not changed. He has already seen this through and counted the hairs on your head as well as the moments this is happening till. We know our Father in heaven will find you, lead you to repentance and recovery, and He will meet you, through His Son, Jesus, by His Holy Spirit. We say this as a group of believers in Jesus Christ praying for and counseling you.
Rowdy acclaim/cheer will do you no good at all. If you can hardly hear yourself above the hubbub of the crowd, is it not your imagination? What is the meaning of all your rant? Stand up for Jesus and make a real commitment to stop running on your emotions. So let us know if you will make a commitment with us to these sins as sins. Let us know you will believe the deep seeded applicability of God's word and repent. Therefore pray to the Father in the name of Jesus Christ, for there is no hope in boil alcohol.
