We are glad to hear you have a desire to reconcile with the Lord. And pray for a godly relationship blessed by Him. Firstly, let us address your relationship and we will pray for both concerns. A godly relationship should be based on Biblical principles. In 2 Corinthians 6:14 WEB it says:
Don't be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?
This scripture clearly explains that as Christians, we should not be in relationships with unbelievers. Since you want a godly relationship, the man should also be a believer in Jesus Christ. If he is not a believer, we pray for his salvation and encourage you to share the love of Christ with him. But do not pursue a romantic relationship unless he becomes a fellow believer.
Next, you mentioned you have made mistakes. Remember it is only by the blood of Jesus we are cleansed from our sins. We are thankful that you have repented from your mistakes. As it is written in 1 John 1:9 WEB If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Also, you mentioned you want a relationship with the Lord. This is wonderful. We are saved by grace through faith and this is the way we reconcile with Him. In Ephesians 2:8-9 WEB says, For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, that no one would boast.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father,
We thank you for your mercy and grace. We confess our sins to you and ask that you would forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. We pray for the man on our heart that you would draw him closer to you. If it is your will, we pray that you would reconcile and bless this relationship centered around you. We pray both of us will be equally yoked. We ask this in Jesus precious name.
Amen
