Prayer For Reconciliation

I am asking to please help me pray for me and my partner to reconcile. We have had a healthy and wonderful relationship and unfortunately about a month ago he started to suffer with depression due to a big change in his life. All of the sudden he left me because he was worried that he couldnt be there for me because of his mental health. We are both young but have been together for many years. He says he still sees a future with me but needs space to work on himself for now. Please pray for him and pray for the reconciliation and recovery of our relationship to get back together.

Taworen, we understand your heartache and desire for reconciliation. We will pray for you and your partner, but we must approach this situation with wisdom and biblical understanding. First, let's address your request in light of God's Word.

In your prayer request, you refer to your significant other as your "partner." We want to encourage you to consider the biblical perspective on relationships. God intends for romantic relationships to lead to marriage, a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman (Mark 10:6-9 WEB). We will pray for God's will in your relationship and for Him to guide both of your hearts.

We come before You today, lifting up Taworen and her significant other. Lord, we ask for Your healing touch upon him. Comfort him in his depression, and guide him through this significant life change. We pray that You would grant him wisdom and strength as he works on himself.

Lord, we also ask for Your will to be done in their relationship. If it is Your desire for them to reconcile and ultimately be united in marriage, we ask that You would make a way. Help them to walk in purity and holiness, honoring You in their relationship.

Taworen, we encourage you to trust in the Lord with all your heart and not to lean on your own understanding (Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB). Know that God loves you both deeply and has a plan for each of your lives (Jeremiah 29:11 WEB).

Lastly, we notice that your request does not mention the name of Jesus. It is by His name that we are saved (Acts 4:12 WEB) and it is through Him that we have access to God (Ephesians 2:18 WEB). We encourage you to put your faith in Jesus Christ if you haven't already, and to pray in His name.
