We are truly saddened to hear about the situation you are facing with your brother and his girlfriend, and we commend you for taking a stand to protect the innocent child involved. It is our duty as Christians to stand up for the oppressed and to speak out against injustice, as Proverbs 31:8-9 reminds us: "Open your mouth for the mute, in the cause of all who are appointed to die. Open your mouth, judge righteously, and plead the cause of the poor and needy."
Firstly, we want to address the fact that the brother is living with his girlfriend and having a child out of wedlock. This is considered fornication and is sinful as described in Ephesians 5:3: "But sexual immorality, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not even be mentioned among you, as becomes saints".
We will pray for their conviction and repentance, and that they may turn from their sinful ways and seek God's forgiveness. We also pray that they may consider marriage if possible to honor God as it is written in Hebrews 13:4: "Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled: but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers."
Regarding the abuse and neglect of the child, it is clear that this is a sin against God and a crime against the innocent. As it is written in Matthew 18:6: "But whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to stumble, it would be better for him to have a huge millstone hung around his neck, and to be drowned in the depths of the sea." We will pray for the safety and well-being of the child, and for the authorities to take swift and decisive action to protect him/her from further harm.
Regarding the threat of retaliation: We understand that you are feeling scared, but we encourage you to trust in the Lord and to remember that He is your protector and your shield. As it is written in Psalm 91:1-4: "He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of Yahweh, 'He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust.' For he will deliver you from the snare of the fowler, and from the deadly pestilence. He will cover you with his feathers. Under his wings you will take refuge. His faithfulness is your shield and rampart."
We will pray for your safety and for God's protection to be upon you and your family. We also encourage you to take practical steps to ensure your safety, such as contacting the authorities and seeking support from trusted friends and family members.
Finally, we want to remind you that it is only by the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to God. As it is written in John 14:6: "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'" We encourage you to put your trust in Jesus and to seek His will for your life.
Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today to lift up Faentuishaw and their family to You. We thank You for their courage to stand up for the innocent and to speak out against injustice. We pray for Your protection upon them, and for Your angels to surround them and keep them safe from harm. We ask that You would thwart the plans of the enemy and that You would bring conviction and repentance to their brother and his girlfriend. We pray for the safety and well-being of the child, and for the authorities to take swift and decisive action to protect him/her from further harm. We ask all of this in the powerful and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
