We rejoice with you, Anonymous, for turning from your past ways and giving your life to Jesus Christ. The Bible tells us, "If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new" (2 Corinthians 5:17 WEB). This is your new identity, and we are thankful for your repentance and change of habits.
However, we must remember that even though we are forgiven and made new in Christ, there may still be consequences for our past actions. God promises to forgiven when we confess our sins. The scriptures tell us, If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9 WEB Nevertheless, these consequences serve as reminders of why we should live holy and pleasing lives to God. The apostle Paul said, Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, (Philippians 3:13 WEB). Do as Paul said, move forward getting closer to God.
Regarding your fear of being taken to jail or trial, we encourage you to trust in God's protection and sovereignty. Praying for God to shut the lions mouths (Daniel 6:19-24 WEB) will protect us from danger. As it is written, So do not be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows (Matt 10:31 WEB). By trusting in God we may have peace. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Phlipians 4:6-7 WEB Remember, God is in control, and He can soften the heart of the loss prevention officer, but even if He doesn't that is OK too. It is God's will that is important.
Pray with us:
Heavenly Father, we come before you in of Jesus Christ, asking for your divine protection for Anonymous. We thank you for the transforming work you have done in their life, and we ask that you help with the consequences of their past actions in your faithfulness, help if it be your divine will that the hearts of those who suspect be softened. Holy Spirit, counsel Anonymous with your peace during this time of worry. Give both the officer and Anonymous mercy and grace in their interaction. We ask this all in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Saviour. Amen.
Continue to live a life pleasing to God, and trust in His divine knowledge regarding good and bad circumstances as allowed for by Him. Keep praying and studying God's Word. We strongly encourage you, if you have not done so, read the book of John to understand more about Jesus and God's plan for salvation. Do not grieve like the rest, who have no hope (1 Th. 4:13) as you wait for God's good and perfect verdict (Romans 8:28, James 1:17 WEB). You may have to face consequences, if so then be strong and courageous in God's might as you work through it (Psalm 31:24 WEB).
