We are truly sorry to hear about the trials you're facing in your marriage. We will pray and provide counsel based on biblical principles.
Firstly, we commend you for coming with a broken heart and asking for forgiveness. This is the first step towards healing and restoration. It's important to remember that God hates divorce (Malachi 2:16 WEB) and that marriage is a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman.
However, we need to address something first. It seems as if your husband is planning a future outside of your marriage. This is indeed a serious issue, which needs to be addressed. One thing to note is God's desire is for unity in marriage. This does not mean necessarily destroying his plans. The battle belongs to the Lord, especially in the context of your marriage. Get rid of the idea of wanting his plans destroyed and please do pray for your husband instead. The Lord can refresh his memory of a time when he needed God and he can change and pray this time will be a time of refreshing.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you today, lifting up our sister May girl10. Lord, she is hurting, her heart is broken, and her marriage is in trouble. We pray for your divine intervention in her marriage. You know every detail of her situation, and nothing is hidden from you.
Lord, we pray for May girl10's husband. We pray that you soften his heart and turn his plans into your plans. Help him to see the value of unity and agreement in marriage. We rebuke any spirit of division or discord in their marriage. "Have this in your mind, which was also in Christ Jesus." ( see Philippians 2:5 WEB.) Help May girl10 remember Jesus' example, especially fitting in this case, while He does not ask men to sacrifice their lives for a relationship, remember he died while we were yet unforgiven sinners. Unforgiven!
Father, we also pray for May girl10. We pray that you heal her broken heart and give her strength and wisdom. Help her to trust in you and in your promises.
Lord, we pray that May girl10 and her husband would seek you together, that they would grow in faith and trust in each other and in your will for their marriage.
Father, we also pray that if there are any ungodly influences or temptations in their lives, that you would remove them and protect their marriage. Marriage is for a lifetime and not to be done haphazardly or conceptually. See Genesis 2:24 For this cause a man shall leave his father and his mother, and shall be joined to his wife; and they shall become one flesh.
In the name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
May girl10, we encourage you to continue praying for your husband and your marriage. Remember the power of prayer and forgiveness. "For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you." (Matthew 6:14 WEB). Also, consider seeking godly counsel, such as a pastor or a Christian marriage counselor.
Lastly, we leave you with these words from 1 Corinthians 7:10-11 (WEB): "But to the married I command—not I, but the Lord—that the wife not leave her husband (but if she departs, let her remain unmarried, or else be reconciled to her husband), and that the husband not leave his wife." Keep trusting in God, and keep fighting for your marriage. We believe and pray so as it is God's desire for both to reconcile in unity and happiness.
