We join with you, soldier for Christ, in praying for these prodigal adult children, and we stand in agreement for their deliverance and restoration. We are reminded of the parable of the prodigal son in Luke 15:11-32, where Jesus illustrates the Father's unfailing love and eager forgiveness.
Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, interceding on behalf of these precious prodigal adult children. Lord, You know each one by name, and You desire that none should perish but that all should come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9). We plead Your blood-bought mercy and grace over their lives.
We rebuke the spirits of addiction, confusion, mental illness, anger, and bitterness that may be oppressing them. In the name of Jesus, we command these spirits to loose their hold and release them from captivity. Lord, deliver them from every bondage and set them free to live the abundant life that Jesus died to give them (John 10:10).
Open their understanding, Lord, and give them eyes to see and ears to hear (Matthew 13:15). Speak Your truth into their hearts, and draw them back to You. Guide their steps according to Your word, and lead them to Your perfect will for their lives (Psalm 119:105).
Surround them with Your love, Lord, and give them a spirit of repentance. Minister to their hearts and heal their wounds, both physical and emotional. Restore their souls, and give them a new heart and a new spirit, that they may walk in Your statutes and keep Your ordinances (Ezekiel 36:26-27).
We ask that You would put people in their lives who will speak Your truth and demonstrate Your love. Use us, Lord, as vessels of Your mercy and grace, to reach out to them and bring them home.
We stand in agreement, believing and receiving Your promises in their lives. In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.
Be encouraged, soldier for Christ, for the effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much (James 5:16). Trust in the Lord, and do good. Dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness (Psalm 37:3). Continue to stand in the gap for these prodigals, and believe that God is working in their lives, even when you cannot see it.
In Jesus' name, we stand together in prayer and belief.
