We are truly saddened to hear about the situation you are facing with your spouse, and we want you to know that you are not alone in this struggle. We will stand with you in prayer and trust that God can turn even the hardest hearts back to Him.
Firstly, let's remember what the Bible says about adultery. The seventh commandment is "You shall not commit adultery." In Matthew 5:27 Jesus said "You have heard that it was said, 'You shall not commit adultery.' But I say to you that everyone who looks at a woman with lustful intent has already committed adultery with her in his heart." This shows us that adultery is not just a physical act, but a matter of the heart.
Let's pray for your spouse, that God will convict their heart and draw them back to Him.
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up our sister's spouse to You. Lord, You know the details of this situation, and nothing is hidden from Your sight. We pray that You will convict their heart of the sin they are engaged in and bring them to repentance. We pray for the Holy Spirit to work on their heart, and for healing, forgiveness, and restoration for this marriage. We also pray for our sister, that You will give her the strength, patience, and forgiveness that she needs at this time. Guide her through this difficult time and help her to fix her eyes on You above all else. We ask this In Jesus Name.
Sister, remember the story of the prodigal son in Luke 15:11-32. The father waited patiently for his son to return, and when he did, he was welcomed back with open arms. In the same way, God is waiting for your spouse to return to Him, and He will welcome them back with open arms.
Also, consider what Peter said in 1 Peter 3:1-2 "In like manner, wives, be in subjection to your own husbands; so that, even if any don't obey the Word, they may be won by the behavior of their wives without a word; seeing your pure behavior in fear. Let your beauty be not just the outward adorning of braiding the hair, and of wearing jewels of gold, or of putting on fine clothing; but in the hidden person of the heart, in the incorruptible adornment of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God very precious."
Your godly example and prayers are powerful tools that God can use to bring your spouse back to Him. Keep praying, keep believing, and keep trusting in God. He is faithful, and He cares about your situation.
Lastly, remember the words of Jesus in Matthew 19:6 "So then, they are no more two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let no man separate." God takes marriage seriously, and He wants your marriage to be restored. Keep trusting in Him.
