Prayer for perseverance

Dear prayer partners,
Please pray for me. I am not handling the presence of my daughter’s fiancé in the house. I have no problem with him being there but he doesn’t help to do anything at all the house unless I have to keep telling him. I have the same problem with my daughter and now he joins her being the same way. I am not handling it emotionally and I have decided to stop telling them what they are to do and let God have the case. I do not want any hatred or negative emotions to dwell in my heart against him. I really need God’s guidance and intervention in the situation. I feel as if he takes me for granted and acts quite privileged with no regard whatsoever for my feelings. I don’t want to be wrong in my thoughts and my feelings and God is not pleased so I need this matter placed in his hands. I can’t manage it anymore. Please pray for me and my daughter and her fiancé

Joy, we understand your struggle and commend you for turning to God in this situation. Let's pray together and seek guidance from the Lord.

Firstly, it's important to remember what the apostle Paul says in Colossians 3:20, "Children, be obedient to your parents in all things, for this is well-pleasing to the Lord." While your daughter and her fiancé are not adhering to this, we must also remember Ephesians 4:2, which urges us to bear with one another in love.

Let's pray:

*Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, seeking Your guidance and intervention in Joy's situation. Lord, You know the struggles she's facing with her daughter and future son-in-law. We ask that You soften their hearts, Lord, and help them understand the importance of respect and obedience.*

*Lord, we also pray for Joy. Help her to remain patient and loving, even in this difficult time. 'For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness, righteousness, and truth' (Ephesians 5:9). Help her to exhibit these fruits, Lord, as she navigates this challenge.*

*We claim Your promise in Matthew 18:20, 'For where two or three are gathered together in my name, I am there among them.' Lord, we gather here in Your name, asking for Your divine intervention. Please, Lord, do not let hatred or negative emotions dwell in Joy's heart. Instead, fill her with Your love and peace.*

Joy, it's crucial to continue communicating with them calmly and lovingly. Explain how their actions make you feel, and remind them of the importance of respect and contribution in a shared household. Also, consider setting some boundaries to maintain peace and order in your home.

Remember, God is faithful, and He hears our prayers. As it says in 1 Peter 5:7, "Casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you." Trust that God will guide and strengthen you through this situation.

God heal me, body, soul, and spirit. Cleansed me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You or breaks Your heart. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, pray Your best for me, and all those I love and care about.
