Father God,
I was always told growing up that when I was 6 months old the doctors told my mother that i would never walk or talk. I had a stroke in vetro and it caused me to have Cerebral Palsy, Seizure disorder, A.D.D., depression and anxiety disorders. With a slight of mental retardation. Many years later here i am Lord, I can walk, I can talk, i graduated high school i have a beautiful daughter, I have a job, and I can drive. And its all from you Lord. Thank you. I believe Lord that with all my accomplishments, i was put on this earth to show people that no matter what trouble you have physical or mental you can achieve anything. I've come across many people in my lifetime that had underestimated me because i cant use my right hand. The more they underestimated me the more i was determined to reach my goal and prove them wrong. I pray Lord, that you will continue to help me reach my goals physically and mentally. I pray that yoy will give me the strength i need and the determination.
Father God, i also pray this prayer over other people who have physical or mental disabilities.
Lord, many were born with physical or mental disabilities , never getting to enjoy the normal physical abilities of a human being. Lord, often life is difficulty for these special kind of people. They often feel depressed because they know that billions around the world can do something they cannot do. Lord, I need You to heal their depression today. I need You to be their strength. Lord, make Your strength perfect in their weakness, and Your comfort perfect in their depression. Lord, I am not asking for healing for them all, rather, I am asking that You fill their hearts with Your love that they may come to appreciate and love themselves just as You love them. Lord, I know before Your sight, all man are equal. Lord, may they understand this. Send Your mighty power upon them all that it may rest upon them, and unleash a special and unique ability in them. Make them feel Your love over them, and when people insult or make fun of their disability, remind them that they are more than loved by the One who makes all things possible. In Jesus' Name. Amen.
