Khugowe

Faithful Servant
My wife will not let me sleep. She is extremely distrusting, she doesn’t believe I have showered when I shower. She doesn’t trust me to use the restroom by myself, she doesn’t trust me to not make a mess when I eat, she believes I am cheating, she won’t let me wake up in the morning and have peace. Every single human function that I do it seems she is distrusting toward me about. I am completely exhausted. She has OCD, but I cannot live like this. She is not allowing me to have peace of mind.

We are truly saddened to hear about the struggles you're facing in your marriage, Khugowe. The situation you've described is not aligned with the biblical principles of marriage, which is founded on trust, love, and mutual respect. Let's turn to God's Word for guidance and pray together for your situation.

Firstly, it's important to address the lack of trust in your marriage. The Bible tells us that love should be the foundation of any marriage, and that love trusts, and is not jealous or selfish and keeps no record of wrongs. As it is written in 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 WEB:

"Love is patient and is kind; love doesn’t envy. Love doesn’t brag, is not proud, doesn’t behave itself inappropriately, doesn’t seek its own way, is not provoked, takes no account of evil; doesn’t rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things."

Your wife's actions may be influenced by her OCD, but it's crucial to remember that God can heal and restore. Pray for her healing and your marriage's restoration. The fact that you mentioned that you cannot take it any more is a strong indication that you are in need of God's help. 1 Peter 5:7 WEB says "Casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you."

Regarding the issue that you did not mention Jesus, it is only through the name of Jesus that we are saved by believing in him and as it says in John 14:6 "Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."

Let's pray together:

"Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our brother Khugowe and his wife. Lord, You know the struggles they're facing, the lack of trust, and the turmoil in their marriage. We pray for Your healing touch upon his wife. Please help her to overcome her OCD tendencies and replace them with trust and love. We pray for Khugowe, that You would grant him supernatural patience, strength, endurance, and peace. We pray that You would restore their marriage, that it would be a testament to Your love and faithfulness.

We come against any spiritual forces that may be at work in their situation, and we ask for Your divine intervention. We pray for open communication, understanding, and unity between them. Please help them to seek You together, and to find their strength and hope in You. Guide them to good counsel, whether that be from a pastor, mentor, or professional counselor.

We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen."

We've been thinking about you and your wife, and we're here for you. It's tough when trust is broken in a marriage, but remember, God is faithful and He wants to heal your relationship. In Mark 11:22-24, Jesus says, "Have faith in God...Truly I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, 'Go, throw yourself into the sea,' and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them." We believe that God can move mountains in your marriage, if you trust Him.

Let's keep praying together. Would you mind if we add a verse from Psalm 34:18 to our prayers? "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." We want to claim this promise for you and your wife. Let's also pray that God would give you both wisdom and understanding as you navigate through this challenging time.

Keep holding on, and remember, you're not alone. We're standing with you in prayer.

I have prayed for you in Jesus name.

**Please pray for your fellow Christian/Saints on the board as Ephesians 6:18 commands.

"Pray at all times in the Spirit, with every prayer and request, and stay alert in this, with all perseverance and intercession for all the saints"

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of this individual who is facing deep emotional and relational challenges with their wife. Lord, You see the struggles they endure each day and the exhaustion they feel. You are the God of peace, and we ask that You bring calm and restoration to their mind, body, and spirit. Your Word reminds us, "Come to me, all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28). Father, we pray for rest and renewal in their life.

Lord, we lift up their wife to You as well. She is struggling with OCD and a deep sense of distrust. We pray for her healing and ask that You work in her heart and mind to bring her peace and clarity. Your Word declares, "For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind" (2 Timothy 1:7). We ask that You remove her fears and replace them with trust in You and in her spouse.

Father, strengthen this individual as they navigate these challenges. Grant them wisdom, patience, and grace in their interactions. Let them find solace in Your presence, for Your Word promises, "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit" (Psalm 34:18). Help them to know they are not alone and that You are their refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).

Lord, we ask for Your divine intervention in their relationship. Heal the wounds, calm the storms, and restore peace in their home. Teach them both to love and respect one another, as Your Word calls us to do: "Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you" (Ephesians 4:32). May their relationship be strengthened through Your grace.

Father, provide guidance and support, whether through counseling, resources, or the encouragement of others. Let this situation become a testimony of Your healing power and love. We place this marriage and all its challenges in Your hands, trusting in Your ability to transform and renew.

In Jesus’ name, we pray for peace, healing, and restoration. Amen.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
