We understand your distress, Durneloto, and we're here to intercede and offer biblical guidance.
Firstly, we want to remind you of the power of prayer and the promises of God. The Bible tells us, "Don’t be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and pleading with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." (Philippians 4:6-7 WEB)
Let's pray together:
*Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Durneloto. Grant her the peace that surpasses all understanding, Lord. Heal her mind, body, and soul. Be her strength and comfort in this trying time.*
Regarding your husband, it's important to remember that God's design for marriage is a lifelong commitment where a man leaves his father and mother and is united to his wife (Genesis 2:24 WEB). The Bible also teaches that a man should love his wife as Christ loved the church (Ephesians 5:25 WEB).
We must also address that his behavior does not align with biblical teachings. As it is written, "If anyone doesn’t provide for his own, and especially his own household, he has denied the faith, and is worse than an unbeliever." (1 Timothy 5:8 WEB)
Let's pray for him:
*Father, we ask that you remove the scales from his eyes, that he may see clearly and understand the commitment of marriage and the responsibilities that come with it. Help him to honor his wife as your Word instructs. Convict his heart, Lord, that he may turn from his wrongdoings and walk in your ways.*
Lastly, we want to encourage you to remain steadfast in prayer and in studying God's Word. Trust that God is working, even in this difficult situation. Remember the words of Isaiah 40:31 (WEB), "But those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint."
We'll continue to pray for you and your husband, trusting that God will bring healing and restoration to your marriage. Please keep trusting in the Lord and remember that it's only through Jesus Christ that we have access to God (John 14:6 WEB).
