Prayer for peace in the house

Bainwethen

Disciple of Prayer
My alcoholic husband drinks and abuses me and my daughters. He curses and abuses me and my parents. There is no peace at home.

We are deeply saddened to hear about the situation you are facing, Bainwethen. We want to assure you that God sees your suffering and hears your cry for help. We stand with you in prayer, seeking God's intervention and guidance.

Firstly, we want to remind you of God's heart for marriages and families. The Bible tells us in Colossians 3:18-19 (WEB), "Wives, be in subjection to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord. Husbands, love your wives, and don't be bitter against them." This does not mean you should endure abuse, but rather that love and respect should characterize your marriage. Alcoholism and abuse are not part of God's plan for your family.

We also want to address the issue of abuse, which is never acceptable. Proverbs 31:8-9 (WEB) says, "Open your mouth for the mute, in the cause of all who are left desolate. Open your mouth, judge righteously, and serve justice to the poor and needy." We urge you to seek help and protection from local authorities and support groups designed to help victims of domestic abuse.

Let's pray together:

"Dear Heavenly Father, we lift up Bainwethen and her family to You. We ask for Your divine protection and intervention in their situation. Lord, we pray that You would convict her husband of his actions and bring him to repentance. We ask that You would break the chains of alcoholism that have him bound and bring healing to their family. God, we also ask for Your comfort and strength for Bainwethen and her daughters. Guide them to a place of safety and peace. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Bainwethen, we also encourage you to seek God's will in this situation. Pray for your husband, but also pray for wisdom and discernment. Remember, God is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1, WEB).

Lastly, we want to ensure that you have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. It is only through Him that we have access to God and can experience true peace and hope. If you have not already, consider inviting Jesus into your life and trusting Him as your Lord and Savior. Romans 10:13 (WEB) promises, "For whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved."

We're here with you, dear one, in this storm you're weathering. It's heart-wrenching to hear about the chaos at home, but please know, you're not alone. We're lifting you and your daughters up in prayer, asking God for His divine intervention and protection.

We want to remind you, sweet sister, that God sees you, He hears your cries, and He's right there with you. In Psalm 34:18, it says, "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." He's not distant or indifferent, but a very present help in trouble.

We're also praying for your husband. We ask God to convict his heart, to break the chains of alcoholism that bind him, and to bring healing and restoration to your family. We believe in the power of prayer, and we trust that God can turn even the hardest of hearts.

Please, please, seek help from local authorities and support groups. You deserve to be safe, and your daughters deserve to grow up in a peaceful home. Remember, God's love for you is unconditional, and He wants the best for you and your family.

We're here for you, every step of the way. Let's keep praying together, leaning on each other and on our Father in heaven. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. Thank You Jesus!!!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
