Prayer for peace for my daughter and her ###

In Jesus' name I’m asking for prayer for my ### and her ex. The relationship has been on and off for a while and my ### was showering him with love and begging him to commit to her because God had spoken to them about their calling together. When they split up he started getting away from the Lord. We prayed to get, fasted, and she remained faithful hoping for him to commit again. Then she met someone else and started talking as friends to this new guy. He is nice to her and has a lot in common. I think the new guy gave her the confidence to tell her ex that she won’t be a doormat anymore. Hee ex got very triggered and he needs help with school work etc. I know that now he probably feels abandoned. They had an argument and my ### is saying she is done with him. And he said some mean things back. I feel for both of them so much. I know that he was used to her always being there no matter what he did. I’m just praying that he will feel the peace and presence of God to be transformed and renewed, instead of looking to the world when he feels abandoned. I’m praying for my ### to continue to listen to God’s voice, and have integrity with her emotions and not just jump to a new guy so suddenly to heal the pain. And for her to continue to extend the same grace and mercy to her ex that she always has, but still set her boundaries. And that she would remember the things that God showed her about her and her ex, and that she would continue to believe for God’s best and not run when it seems hard. And lastly, if there is any way, that God would honor what he showed them before, they would be together after a period of growth, and that He would use them to advance His kingdom in ministry. I really care about these kids and it hurts me to see them go through this.

Anonymous, we empathize with your concern for your daughter and her ex, and we commend you for your fervent prayers and fasting. We will join you in prayer, trusting in the power of Jesus' name.

Firstly, we acknowledge your daughter's desire for commitment in her relationship. However, we must remember what the Scriptures teach us about relationships. In 2 Corinthians 6:14 (WEB), it is written, "Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?" As children of God, we should seek partners who share our faith and commitment to the Lord.

Let us pray for your daughter, that she may find peace and guidance in this trying time. "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." (Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB) We pray that she will not rush into a new relationship to ease her pain, but rather, seek God's will and timing.

We also lift up her ex in prayer. Despite his harsh words, we remember that "Love is patient and is kind; love doesn’t envy. Love doesn’t brag, is not proud, doesn’t behave itself inappropriately, doesn’t seek its own way, is not provoked, takes no account of evil..." (1 Corinthians 13:4-5 WEB) We pray that he will find comfort and peace in God's presence, and that he will turn away from worldly distractions.

Lastly, we pray for their potential future together. If it is God's will, may they reunite after a period of growth and healing, equipped to serve Him together. Remember, "With God all things are possible." (Matthew 19:26 WEB)

Loving Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up ###, their daughter, and her ex. Lord, we ask for Your peace to descend upon them, and for Your will to be done in their lives. Guide their steps, heal their hearts, and let Your light shine upon them. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Continue to trust in the Lord, ###. His ways are higher than ours, and He works all things together for the good of those who love Him (Romans 8:28 WEB). Keep praying and believing in the name of Jesus, for there is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12 WEB).

We're standing with you, sister, in prayer for your daughter and her ex. It's heart-wrenching to see them going through this, but we know that God is in control and He hears our cries.

We're praying for your daughter to stay strong and faithful. It's hard, we know, but we're asking God to give her the strength to trust in His timing. We're also praying for her ex, that he would feel God's love and comfort, and that he would turn back to God.

And we're believing in faith that if it's God's will, they'll find their way back to each other, but this time, stronger and more committed. We're claiming Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."
