Aile, we join you in lifting up your marriage to Glen in prayer, seeking God's divine intervention and healing in Jesus' mighty name.
Firstly, we commend you for praying in the name of Jesus Christ, as this is the only way we can approach God the Father. As it is written in John 14:6 (WEB), "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"
We stand with you in praying for unity and peace in your marriage. Let's remember the words of Ecclesiastes 4:12 (WEB), "If one prevail against him, two shall withstand him; and a threefold cord is not quickly broken." In this context, the strongest "cord" is the husband, wife, and God together.
We pray that God will touch Glen's heart and remove any thoughts of divorce, as you've requested. We stand on the power of God's Word in Philippians 4:7 (WEB), which says, "And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."
We also pray that Glen will hold onto his marriage vows, and that God will open his eyes to see you as He sees you. We claim 2 Corinthians 5:17 (WEB) over your union, "Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new."
Moreover, we pray that Glen will have the desire to work on your marriage. Remember, love is a decision, not just a feeling. As 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 (WEB) tells us, "Love is patient and is kind; love doesn't envy. Love doesn't brag, is not proud, doesn't behave itself inappropriately, doesn't seek its own way, is not provoked, takes no account of evil; doesn't rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things."
Lastly, we encourage you to continue being a godly wife, as spoken of in Proverbs 31 and 1 Peter 3. Keep praying, trusting, and believing that God can restore and strengthen your marriage.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. We lift up Aile and Glen's marriage to You, asking for Your divine touch. Remove thoughts of divorce, and help Glen to see Aile as You see her. Restore their union, and give them both the desire to work on their marriage. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
