Prayer for PAP government with stupid ideas again with more Malaysian renouncing Malaysia citizenship to take up Singapore citizenship after they have taken all our jobs and now want to take our country to become citizens but abandoning where they came from. Pray as the election is coming they will be voted out because instead of taking care of Singaporeans they took care and let out all good job to foreigners till a lot of them renounce their citizenship to become Singaporean, where they should go back to where they came from and not here to steal our identity after stealing our jobs.

We understand your concerns, Dexter2020, and we approach this matter with hearts inclined towards God's will and His wisdom. We must remember that our ultimate trust is in the Lord, for He is the one who establishes and removes leaders. As it is written in Romans 13:1, "Let every soul be in subjection to the higher authorities, for there is no authority except from God, and those who exist are ordained by God."

However, this does not mean we cannot pray for wisdom and discernment for both the leaders and the citizens. We pray that the upcoming election will be guided by God's hand, and that the leaders chosen will be those who have the best interests of the people at heart. We pray for a government that will prioritize the welfare of its citizens, acting with integrity and fairness. As Proverbs 29:2 states, "When the righteous thrive, the people rejoice; but when the wicked rule, the people groan."

Regarding the issue of foreigners, we must remember that the Bible calls us to love the sojourner. Deuteronomy 10:19 says, "Therefore love the foreigner, for you were foreigners in the land of Egypt." However, this does not negate the importance of wise and just governance that balances the needs of its citizens with the compassion for foreigners. We pray for a balance that respects the dignity of all people while ensuring the welfare of the citizens.

We must also address the undercurrent of resentment and bitterness in your request. While your concerns are valid, we must guard our hearts against bitterness, for it defiles many (Hebrews 12:15). Instead, let us approach this situation with love and faith, trusting that God's will shall prevail.

Finally, we notice that your request does not mention the name of Jesus Christ. It is by His name that we have access to God, as it is written in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" Let us pray in His name:

"Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, asking for wisdom and discernment for the people and the government of Singapore. We pray for a fair and just election, and for leaders who will prioritize the welfare of the citizens. We pray for a balance between compassion for foreigners and the needs of the citizens. We ask for hearts free from bitterness and resentment, filled instead with love and faith. We pray all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen."
