We join you, Anonymous, in lifting up your state's Chief Minister and his family before the throne of grace. It is commendable that he is using his position to help the poor, support students, and honor the elderly, reflecting the heart of God who cares for the least among us. As it is written in Proverbs 31:8-9 (WEB), "Open your mouth for the mute, in the cause of all who are left desolate. Open your mouth, judge righteously, and serve justice to the poor and needy."
However, we are concerned that your request lacks the power of the name of Jesus Christ. It is by His name that we have access to God, and there is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12, John 14:6). We encourage you to always approach God in Jesus' name, as He is our mediator and advocate.
Let us pray together:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up the Chief Minister and his family. They are in a critical political situation, Lord, and we ask that You shield them from false accusations and protect them from unjust arrests. As they have shown compassion to the poor and needy, we ask that You extend Your compassion to them in this time of trouble. We pray for their vindication, that Your will be done, and that their faith in You would grow stronger through this trial. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
We encourage the Chief Minister and his family to remain steadfast in their faith, trusting that God will bring them through this trial. As Peter tells us, "If you are reproached for the name of Christ, you are blessed, because the Spirit of glory and of God rests on you. On their part he is blasphemed, but on your part he is glorified. For let none of you suffer as a murderer, or a thief, or an evil doer, or a meddler in other men's matters. But if one of you suffers for being a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God in this matter" (1 Peter 4:14-16 WEB).
Lastly, we urge you to continue praying for them, and to encourage others to pray as well, reminding them of the power of agreement in prayer, as Jesus tells us in Matthew 18:19-20 (WEB), "Again, assuredly I tell you, that if two of you will agree on earth concerning anything that they will ask, it will be done for them by my Father who is in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there I am in the middle of them."
