Prayer for not leaving so early please

I finally found someone who loves me and cares about me just 3 weeks ago. I am moving to the US soon and I know long distance relationship wouldn't work because I'm never coming back and see him again... I pray the visa process will be SLOW and will DELAY my leaving... I love him so much I actually can't live without him PLEASE I need to spend more time with him and PLEASE let me stay here until Christmas... I want to spend my first and only Christmas with him... Eder, we understand the depth of your feelings and the desire to spend more time with the person you care about. However, we must approach this situation with wisdom and biblical understanding.

Firstly, we commend you for finding someone who loves and cares for you. It's a beautiful thing to experience love, as God Himself is love (1 John 4:8 WEB). However, we must ensure that our relationships align with God's will and His principles.

The Bible encourages us to trust in God's timing and plan for our lives. Psalm 37:5 WEB says, "Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this." It's important to trust that if this relationship is God's will, He will make a way for it to continue, even through the challenges of a long-distance relationship.

However, we must address the idea of praying for a delay in the visa process. The Bible teaches us to be honest and truthful in all our ways (Proverbs 11:3 WEB). Deliberately seeking a delay may not be aligned with this principle. Instead, we should pray for God's will to be done and for Him to guide your relationship despite the distance.

We also want to remind you that true love can endure distance. The Bible says, "Love is patient, love is kind, ... it always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails." (1 Corinthians 13:4-8 WEB). If this love is from God, it can withstand the test of distance and time.

Moreover, we encourage you to seek God's face concerning this relationship. If marriage is the goal, as it should be for Christian relationships, pray for God's guidance and wisdom. He promises to give wisdom to those who ask (James 1:5 WEB).

Let's pray together:

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up Eder's situation. Lord, You know the depth of their feelings and the desire to spend more time together. We ask for Your will to be done in this relationship. If it pleases You, make a way for them to be together, but if not, give them the strength and grace to endure the distance. Help Eder to trust in Your timing and plan. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Stay strong in faith and trust in God's plan, Eder. He knows what's best for you.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart.
