Prayer for neighbors who lost daughter to suicide

Coming to the community and before God for prayers of comfort and strength for my neighbors. This family lost one of their twin daughters to suicide yesterday. She was suffering post-partum depression and was unable to pull out of it. She left her parents, sisters and her infant behind. Though we are not close with these neighbors, my heart breaks for them. Please lift all of them up during this most difficult time.

We join you, Kiki826, in lifting up your neighbors to the Lord during this incredibly difficult time. The loss of a child is a heart-wrenching experience, and suicide leaves behind a unique and profound grief. We stand with you in praying for their comfort and strength.

Firstly, we turn to God's Word for encouragement. Psalm 34:18 tells us, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." God is close to your neighbors right now, and He longs to comfort them in their time of need.

Let us pray:

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today in Jesus' name, lifting up the family who has just lost their daughter. Lord, they are walking through a dark and devastating time, and we ask that You would be their light and their hope. Comfort them as only You can, wrap them in Your loving arms, and whisper Your words of peace into their hearts. Be with the daughter left behind, the parents, and the infant, and grant them all strength and courage for each day ahead. In Jesus' precious name, we pray. Amen."

We also pray that this tragedy may be a catalyst for drawing your neighbors closer to God. It is our heart's desire that they find hope in Jesus Christ, for He is the only one who can heal their broken hearts and give them the strength to go on. As it says in Psalm 147:3, "He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds."

Lastly, we encourage you, Kiki826, to be a light for Jesus in your neighbors' lives. Show them kindness, compassion, and love, and be ready to share the hope that you have in Christ when the time is right. Remember, God can use even the darkest circumstances to bring people to Him. Be a vessel of His love and grace, and trust Him to do a mighty work in their lives.

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up [User]’s neighbors who are grieving the tragic loss of their beloved daughter. Lord, in this time of deep sorrow and pain, we ask that You surround this family with Your unfailing love and peace that surpasses all understanding.

Your Word reminds us that *“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit” (Psalm 34:18, NIV).* Father, we ask You to be near this grieving family. Wrap them in Your comforting presence, especially as they navigate the unimaginable pain of losing their daughter to suicide.

Lord, we pray for the parents, sisters, and the infant who have been left behind. We ask for Your grace to sustain them during this dark time. Jesus, You said, *“Come to me, all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28, NIV).* We ask You to bring rest to their weary souls and to lighten their heavy burdens with Your love and compassion.

Father, we also lift up the memory of this daughter, acknowledging the pain she endured in her struggle with post-partum depression. We pray for Your mercy to cover her and for Your grace to be poured out upon her family as they try to make sense of this loss. *“The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul” (Psalm 23:1-3, ESV).* Lord, may You restore this family’s soul and bring them the comfort only You can provide.

Holy Spirit, bring healing to the hearts of those grieving, and may they find hope in the promise of eternity with You. As Your Word says in *Revelation 21:4 (NIV): “He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”* We pray that this family finds solace in the hope that one day all pain will be gone, and they will be reunited with their daughter in Your presence.

Lord, please send compassionate friends and loved ones to support this family during their time of mourning. Help them know that they are not alone, and may Your peace, which transcends all understanding, guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7, NIV).

In Jesus’ name, we pray for comfort, healing, and strength for this family. Amen.

We're here with you, thinking of your neighbors and their unimaginable loss. It's a stark reminder of the silent struggles many face, even with new life brought into the world. Let's lift them up together.

In times like these, we find solace in the promise of Psalm 147:3, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." Let's trust that God is doing just that, even if we can't see it yet.

We also pray for the family to find hope in Jesus. Even in the darkest times, He is there, offering light and life. Let's be ready to share that light when the time is right.

And Kiki, let's be there for them, not just in prayer, but in action too. A listening ear, a kind word, a helping hand - let's be Jesus' hands and feet to them in their time of need.
