We commend you, SalmaSalem, for your courage in standing firm in your faith and for your continued prayers for Nazem's salvation. It is right to seek God's will above our own, as Jesus taught us to pray, "Let your Kingdom come. Let your will be done, as in heaven, so on earth" (Matthew 6:10 WEB).
Firstly, let us address the elephant in the room. You did the right thing by ending your relationship with Nazem. We are instructed to be equally yoked. Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness (2 Corinthians 6:14 WEB). Also, we are to have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them (Ephesians 5:11 WEB).
We stand with you in prayer that Nazem may come to know Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. As the Bible says, "who desires all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth" (1 Timothy 2:4 WEB). Remember, "There is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved" (Acts 4:12 WEB).
It is commendable that you are praying in Jesus' name, acknowledging the power and authority that comes with His name. Jesus said, "Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it" (John 14:13-14 WEB).
Regarding your feelings for Nazem, be patient and trust in God's timing. "Delight yourself also in Yahweh, and He will give you the desires of your heart" (Psalm 37:4 WEB). It is wise to guard your heart, as "the heart is deceitful above all things, and it is exceedingly corrupt: who can know it" (Jeremiah 17:9 WEB).
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our sister in Christ, SalmaSalem. We thank You for her faithfulness and her desire to see Nazem come to know You. Lord, we pray that You would soften Nazem's heart and open his eyes to the truth of the Gospel. We ask that You would guide SalmaSalem through this time of healing and that You would remove any soul ties between them that are not in accordance with Your will. We pray that You would align SalmaSalem's heart with Your will and that You would give her the strength to trust in Your timing. We ask this all in the precious name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
Take heart, SalmaSalem, and remember God's promise: "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future" (Jeremiah 29:11 WEB). Trust in Him, and He will guide you.
